Welcome to Bay Skate, on Napier's iconic Marine Parade.
The park offers a bowl area, a rink and ramp space. Some areas are still in development but we're endeavouring to have it finished as soon as possible!

Great spot for the kids to do tricks and jumps on scooters, skateboards or rollerskates. Shelter fr adults to get outta sun. Good for all skater levels
Really nicely set uo skate park. Lots of places to sit. Super friendly staff. You are able to hire what you need. Parking is a bit hard but that's normal for that area of Napier. There is a cool playground next door too.
Need to work on your public relations. unfortunately son was badly injured just after turning up, best they could offer was a cold pack . couldn't get to use the place without him paying again, no skin off their nose but it was to him, literally. Not how I'd run the place, but best of luck. Place looks cool
Exceptionally clean, excellent layout of bowls, 1/2 pipes, stairs and ramps and flows really well-known very smooth concrete surface. Plenty of grandstand seating & shade covered fixed picnic style tables. You can hire scooters, skateboards etc and get free safety equipment wrist guards, knee & elbow pads and free helmet with any equipment hire Great safe venue for children/teens.
Easily the best skatepark in NZ Mangawhai might be better but Mangawhai is ages away. Highly recommend going Only problem is there are a few little kids on scooters who get in your way a little bit but still a 5 would give it a 6 if I could
Council owned and weird layout for BMX if your into hitting lines its not very flowy in my opinion, In saying that the FOH and the old school people they kept on are amazing! No foam put or huge quarters and the 14foot half is goneThey do have a airbag alot up of the time Still goes hard and at least you don't have to worry about pat anymore 7/10 for riding preferred sk8 zone 9/10 for service council charging for a publicly donated space takes it down a point and the old marine land viewing stands takes it back up a point
This place is fantastic. The staff are super helpful and the park itself has something for every level. The hired equipment was good quality. There is shade to avoid the sun and a water fountain to drink from.
Very cool skate park, you can brink skates, boards, bikes, and scooters. You do have to pay for it though, and it seems to be a bit small to hang around for long, so may not be something you want to pay for. But still when you first go, it's very fun, and very new and safe. Just note for those with young kids that the music isn't monitored and there can be some very bad language from time to time. Go check it out!
Really awesome atmosphere, it was great right next to the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful, and also get out on some wheels which was cool. Loved seeing the inline hockey too, along with a diverse group of wheels, skateboarders, scooters, roller skates, bmx, etc. Everyone was there for a good time.
