I rang and ordered 2 fish and 1/2 scoop chips at 6pm and was told 20 minutes. I got there at 6:20pm. Order wasn’t ready until 6:50pm. Chips - were they cooked in old oil or were they reheated? Tasted terrible so they went to the birds. Batter on one fish was burnt on one side. Dry. Tasteless. Cost = $2.50 chips, $5 x 2 fish, $0.20 eftpos surcharge = $12.70. I was charged $13.70. Can’t wait for Golden Phoenix College St to open again.
Fish was chewy and a very dough batter. Chips were soggy. An they messed up the Chinese. Sweet n Sour sauce was great
Love this fish and chip shop! It’s so affordable and the food is yum! The chicken burger is definitely one of my faves. The crumbed chicken patty is so delicious. I always get the $10 fish bite pack. So worth the money.nService is always good, and the shops always clean.
Been coming here since I was a kid ,whenever we visited nan and koro for Xmas and holidays across the road we come here for lunch and dinner best fish and chip shop I’ve ever been to in New Zealand always fresh fish best ever .
Good food. Got a kids $5 2 fish bites and chips, very good portion size.
