We drove down to the Fish Market today and had a very nice lunch. The day was gorgeous--warm and sunny. We ordered fish and chips, seafood Chowder, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Prawns with garlic sauce and Oysters on the half shell. We enjoyed all the dishes, especially the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The fish and chips was fresh and delicious. My brother thought the Chowder was a bit thin and runny, but tasted okay. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would be happy to visit again.
Loved this market, wide selection of places to sit down and have a good meal. Weekends are fab, live music, good vibe, hearty food! Kids were entertained by the crayfish tanks.. : all in all, we had a great experience and will certainly be back again.
Fish Market always serves up super fresh and delicious seafood! There is also 2 hour free parking on site. The oysters may be on the pricey side at times but they’re a really decent size and always so yummy. The seafood platter was delicious and was plenty for four people.
Rather disappointing visit. Went at 12nn and many stores were closed and items seem to be sold out - not sure if it was because of the day off the week. Had a lobster roll and garlic butter prawns. The seafood does taste fresh but it lacks any other taste. It does not have the salty taste of sea Unlikely to visit again.
Lovely to walk down from the main hub of Viaduct precinct, can take city circle bus to the AKL fish market; my AKL friend showed me the drill of ordering the specific seafood & let the cook did it magic!! We ended up with grilled salmon, scallops, prawns , lobster NZ crayfish roll, lobster macaroni & cheese for just the two of us! Absolutely filled up to the max! Just as well it was lunch & not dinner! Very satisfying LUNCH ! Not overly busy for a Thursday afternoon!
There was a long wait for all the food but it helped to pace the rate that the food was coming to our table. The live music definitely added to the ambience with the summer vibe.
Just superb selection of the finest seafood from the area. Endless piles of delicious things, accompanied by fine wines to wash it al down with. Very helpful and accommodating staff, as usual in New Zealand. Worth visiting Auckland just to come here.
Like the fish market. Fresh seafood and nice vibes to have a meal here. So far one of the freshest seafood we got.
This is a must place to enjoy fresh seafood if you are in Auckland situated at the wharf. Besides the market at other food stalls. The food from Lobster and Tap was good. The lobster and prawns were fresh.
It was nice fresh fish bager with chips. $18.90. tomato sauce and mayonaise is free. I just though butter is bit too thick and fish was thin.
