Ascot Takeaways

Out of all the Chinese takeaways in the area and there are plenty, this is the winner. Placed order online, was given a time for collection. This was 35 mins later but as it was bank holiday Friday we expected it to be busy. The order was ready at given time and was piping hot. Food was delicious. Between us we had egg fried rice, chips, plain chow mein and beef in oyster sauce. The chips weren’t your normal ‘Chinese chips’ as the takeaway do fish and chips too. Would recommend to all in the area.

This chinese takeaway is family owned, one member of that family is fantastic at cooking & preparing the food, but the others are not so good. I can no longer afford to risk £180 for a family of 6 to receive badly cooked food and poor quality meat. My recent order was revolting and I'm more than sure the Sweet & Sour sauce was just tomato sauce.

I am reviewing the suffering of the poor live fish in the tank in the window, who seem to be constantly gasping for air on top of the dirty water in the tank, which is rarely cleaned. If the owners care for the live fish is anything to go by I wouldn't recommend the food here. I and many friends locally don't use this takeaway any more on principle.

Nice enough but nothing special and for the price I expected more. The noodles were very greasy and the rice so salty. I was a little disappointed and unfortunately won’t be ordering again. Very overpriced for a very basic Chinese takeaway.

Firstly the food hygiene rating is only 3 and not 5 as fraudulently the owner has displayed a fake 5 stars sticker on the door last inspected Feb 2023 reported to Trading Standards. Spare ribs contained no meat only fat and bone, portion sizes reduced but prices risen, no consistency on each visit one week it's decent another it's terrible this includes the sauces such as sweet and sour. How on earth are you charging £7 for a banana fritter? When x2 bananas cost 22p in tesco and treacle is approx 45p for a few spoon fulls. Don't take your customers as mugs with ripping people off and sticking fraudulent food hygiene ratings on the window. Oh and remove that filthy disgusting fish tank from the shop it's no longer the 1970s.

I have been here a couple of time and hasn’t been bad ordered tonight took a while for Deliveroo to find my address and to be honest I wish they hadn’t found it got to be one of the worst meals I think I have ever eaten so disappointed and also forgot my chips that I paid for

Shocking service, food quality and portion size. Food was dry and overcooked, dish was topped up by onions and still did not manage to even get over half of the small container filled. Manager was dismissive and unapologetic and could not converse. A shame as i have been using them for years

Originally gave 5 stars but unfortunately the food is cooked different each week. One in ever 4 visits will be cooked lovely the other times terrible, I'm afraid that's not the gamble I'm willing to take when money is so tight.

Cod, chips and mushy peas were delicious, not too oily + waited less than 10mins, batter tasted a bit like that from a sweet and sour chicken ball. Only downsize is its cash only. More chips in box, not pictured

Lived in Bracknell for 10 years, didn't know about this place. Many people recommended it, gave it a try and most definitely the best locally. Delicious food and so happy they promote cash.
