About

We are a community-based Preschool, situated at the end of a cul-de-sac on the boundary of Silverstream Primary Schools playing fields.

Story

Our open plan environment is fun, stimulating, well resourced and spacious. This allows children to explore, be creative and learn through play. Activities and resources that strongly promote numeracy and literacy are seamlessly included in the everyday curriculum.

Our environment is safe and nurturing, it also encourages risk taking, promotes self-esteem, values diversity and provides equal opportunities for all.

Our teaching team strongly believe in open, honest, respectful communication with parents, whanau, children and the wider community.

Arthur Burns Preschool has a dedicated teaching team of fully qualified, registered teachers.

Session times:
Monday to Friday: 8.15am to 12.30pm
Tuesday to Thursday: 1.15pm to 3.15pm

Fees:
Morning: $12.75 per session
Afternoon: $6.00 per session

- We are a non-profit organisation.
- We offer 20 free hours for 3 year olds and over.
- If your child is not eligible for 20 free hours, they may qualify for a Winz subsidy.

Mission

Arthur Burns is, and will continue to be, an amazing environment where every child’s vital early learning will be considered a treasure / taonga to be nurtured and fed.
Each child with their unique personality, gifts and interests will know they are valued as an individual, a part of the Preschool whānau and the community as a whole. They will be inspired and helped to develop the skills needed to love learning and make a difference in their world.
