The staff were very kind and attentive, but please remember not to clear plates whilst people are still eating. I would have liked to finish eating that salad! The presentation for the starter/entree was more that of a breakfast item, however it was absolutely delicious so would certainly eat again. Crispy cauliflower salad was a little light on the cauliflower, but it was very delicious.
The food came fairly quickly which was good, had to chase up a drink though. We've been here before and it was amazing, this visit wasn't quite as good. The pork belly bites had a great flavour but weren't as crispy as usual. Tried the beef nacho's for the first time, they tasted of nothing, you get more flavour from an el paso sachet. No seasoning or anything in the beef or guac. The corn chips had some flavour, that's about it. Wouldn't recommend. Husband was happy with his chicken loaded fries. Once we got our food, no staff ever came back for a drinks order or anything. We sat there for about half an hour with dirty dishes piled around from the group we were with. Some people wanted another drink & to order dessert but no one came back. It wasn't that busy and some staff were 'play fighting' on the other side of the restaurant so we paid, left and got dessert at the waffle box which was amazing & great service.
The food was ok, but the service was exceptional. One request was accommodated with a smile and a little bit of extra service was provided. The staff were great. The beer and the gin were delicious and refreshing
I know we went for a meal on the 2nd of Jan and all that but the pizzas given to our table were barely cooked. Other diners pizza looked OK...disappointing use of waaay to much fake cheese on the nachos and little of anything else. The mince was super plain. Lovely staff but the meals were not great
Have dined here a few times over the years; the atmosphere is always pleasant, it never gets too noisy, the venue warm, and the staff are pretty accomodating. However the last meal 2 weeks back; I ordered pork tacos and the pork was cold, and the beef burger from the kids menu for my 4 year old arrived with a raw patty. Bit apprehensive to return.
We dined at Aro Bar yesterday after a poor experience at one of the other breweries at Brewtown. I was hesitant at first to come to Aro Bar as in the past I had been a bit underwhelmed with the place but things seem to have improved significantly. The food has definitely got better and the atmosphere feels more comfortable now. Our group of 10 including kids, teens and adults all enjoyed the range of food we had and the service was friendly and quick. Will remember for our next Brewtown visit
The staff were friendly but not overly helpful, and the burgers were ok. That’s really about it. The pizza we ordered came out cold, not lukewarm, cold and took us quite a while to convince the staff to reheat it. When they did for about a minute it made the pizza even worse. The nachos about $18 were burnt but somehow also cold, the mince was dry, there was about an eye dropper worth of guacamole and no sour cream apparently there is a shortage which in catering speak is “we forgot to order/couldn’t be bothered whipping to the supermarket” Beer and drinks were the only saving grace and the staff kept us topped up. Unfortunately, the closed half an hour early despite people from the large group wanting to keep enjoying at least the liquid aspect of an otherwise disappointing experience. Should you go here? If for a quick drink, yes but if you want a decent meal, I suggest elsewhere.
I booked a table to take my son and his friends here for his birthday lunch today. After sitting down and starting to look at menus we were told that due to some licencing rubbish we could not dine here! We went to one of the other bar/restaurants in Brew Town, who gladly accepted our business.
Four of us went to dinner here last night. We ordered pizza and nachos. Everything had a really funny flavour to it, and the nachos were stale. Also the beer tasted off like vinegar. Three out of the four of us were sick the same night.
We come here on the regular, the amazing Ella always makes us feel like family and the other staff are always above board and it's such a privilege to spend time with them all. Highly recommend this amazing establishment for a feed and drink.
