Beautiful little bay in a north shore suburb. Clean toilets , great parking. perfect swimming spot with kids with bay being shallow and fantastic fishing spot and beautiful views. walk on the ridge at low tide to the rock to fish from. Be careful when it high tide and u have to return in the dark.
Lovely safe beach for the family to swim, grass to lay your picnic blanket if you dont like the crunch in you lunch.
A quiet bay with nice swimming. We wanderd around the rocks to the East of the bay for a lovely private swim. No shops to tempt the kids. Toilets about half way along the beach. Sheltered from a north wind. Nice view of Rangitoto Is and the city
Incredible beach. Lovely sand,water,shells,rocks and trees. Always so many cute dogs at the beach, friendly people to chat with, lots of kina and starfishes ive seen. Everything is great about it just be careful by the big rocks where the fishers fish it's slippery
A sand and shell beach with extensive rocks at headlands either end. The views from the beach are particularly good, especially out to Rangitoto in the harbour. Seas are quiet. The rocks are comparatively safe and perfect for children to explore the maritime coastal habitat. Cliff geology layered and clearly visible. Only downside are the large stormwater drains that open onto the beach. On busy days, parking might be difficult to find. Picnic tables and public restroom and outdoor shower available. Most sad that three Pohutukawa trees have been poisoned on the beachfront
