Travelling from Sydney you never expect great food in this area. So when you come somewhere like Aqua you're always surprised.nThe whisky and beer selection was impeccable. But the food, absolutely amazing. Possibly the best variation on karaage I've ever had. The sushi and gyoza were also great. Owners were lovely and the venue had a great vibe.
Two of us had a meal here last night. Food was incredible. We ordered a selection of things off the tapas menu. Would highly recommend the seafood dumplings and beef croquettes. Service was great, the man running front of house was super friendly and we were instantly made to feel welcome. We will definitely be back if we are in methven again - and will be recommending to friends and family. Thanks guys!!
My wife and I chose to eat at Aqua on a very quiet Sunday evening in Methven and were pleasantly surprised with the high quality of our meals and friendly service.nThe restaurant is cosy with lots of fun Japanese touches. We really enjoyed the overall experience and will definitely be back.
Small family run restaurant, with Japanese izakaya decor. Didn’t expect much, but the food turned out surprisingly good. Worth a try if in town, in spite of many other dining options.
My food was barely ediblenThe seafood dumplings were overcooked and tasted horriblenWill not be coming here again
