Ordered takeaways from here last night without realising they had only been open for two nights under new owners! Very friendly owners with plenty of experience and industry knowledge, the food was excellent and I can only imagine it will get better as they get into the groove of running a Japanese restaurant. I would recommend that everyone should give this place a go and I’m sure it’ll be popular during the upcoming ski season!

We started off coming to the restaurant at night, and asked for the toilet, after following their instructions, and went to the pub next door quickly. So that problem solved. We ordered hot sake, and it came without a serviet, so we had to wait for it to cool off a bit. We waited a while for the food... so be very patient... As for the quality of the food, it is worth the wait, if you have the time to wait! If not for this, I would rate it much higher.
Reckon over rated. Food was alright. Stir fried noodles was a bit salty. The fried chicken was the highlight, tender and juicy. Could do with a bit more dipping sauce tough. Very small place but very kind service. Need to be early or waiting time was a bit long.

It is insane how good the food is here. I’ve eaten my fair share of Japanese food and I would never have guessed the best meal I would have would be from a little restaurant in Methven. Do yourself a favour, get the beef carpaccio. I can’t wait to go back.
Cozy little restaurant. We managed to get the last table and absolutely loved and enjoyed everything we ate for our dinner. Best dish we agreed was the Japanese Fried Chicken. Highly recommend but best to reserve a table as it is small
Went there tonight. The food was scrumptious! Best Japanese I have had. Very simple but tasty. Loved the traditional Japanese style decor. Would recommend this restaurant.
Dammm this was delicious. The food was an absolute delight and the staff are lovely. We are vegetarian and they had some great options even for us. 5/5
