I am an internationally qualified beauty therapist who’s worked in the industry for 28 years. I specialise in micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing around the eyes – the eyebrows and eyeliner, Cosmetic tattooing is a fantastic area to be working in, especially with the new pigments being developed that are fantastic, giving beautiful, natural-looking results. As per most other reviews on here, if I could give no stars I would. I had a MINT lift plus under eye filler. One of the nurses even said the other nurse should not have done that, when she realised the filler had slipped as it had not been bolstered at top of cheek bone. The threads were uneven and had to be redone. I’ve been l the with hugely puffy cheeks and sunken circles under my eyes. I spent a LOT of money and when I voiced my unhappiness to Dr Ken Macdonald, he simply said he thought I looked great and there was nothing he was going to do to fix their mistakes. The sheer arrogance. I then went to Transform and they were wonderful, and managed to rectify slightly. But it has been months of embarrassment of the way I look - and I’m appalled that KM treated me so badly, and refused to own their mistakes… or even offer a partial or full refund. Looking at these other reviews, I can see I’m not alone in suffering an inferior service and very poor management of the results KM promote, yet were far from being acceptable quality. I feel KM have been in clear breach of the CGA and their failure to acknowledge a remedial option is enough to warn anyone or everyone who may consider entering their doors, not to. MBIE and the governing body of Cosmetic Surgery in NZ have urged me to complain, so as to make potential future customers aware. I still can’t quite believe that I spent all that money and time for such poor physical results, and that KM did not hold themselves accountable. Be warned!
5 years strong! Iv been coming to KM for a while, so thought I better write a novel of how much I love their customer service after I needed to make swift appointment change . The team are lovely & highly skilled! The site is spotless and I know I’m in safe hands as the injectors are qualified nurses. There is also a doctor on-site !!! There is zero judgment, even when iv rolled on up in my gardening clothes. I grind my jaw and get treatment in my masseters to minimise headaches, which has been an absolute life changer. See Adele for this amazing treatment & good banter! She will never try to fill where it’s not needed either. I also get laser for my pcos and Louise is the gal to see…She is so thorough. Iv been to the mall laser clinics and this machine at Km is far superior to, and next to no pain. Love the team!
Very sad experience for me and my friends. I did PRP treatment and brought in two of my friends to do the treatment as well. I understand that they promised that not for everyone it would be a success. However for all three of us there was no difference and we now have terrible hairfall. The person who did the PRP just poked here and there and not where the hair fall was we are new to it and didn’t know if she was right or wrong. I came in for a three month review and she told me that there was no change and I could tell that as well. She asked me to come for a 6 month review and still no change and didn’t even check on my friends as she was aware that they too didn’t have any difference. Am sorry to put this review as our heart breaks spending 1500$ each. I understand if the difference is not there for me but all three of us are facing the same experience and the only option for us is to cry for spending so much. We are all so unhappy and have no idea what to do. All three of us are from different families, different blood and has no relation to one another. This clearly showed that it didn’t work on all three of us and we did this at the same time too. Very unhappy on this experience. Thanks Hi You have not even booked us in for the review, you told me to wait and see for 6 months and didn’t even book my friends in for the second review. You said why jump in social media so why would u have an option as review on social media ? Is it only for positive reviews or what. And I do understand that it doesn’t work on an everyone but it is ridiculous when it doesn’t work on all three people. This is a platform to put in our feed back and reviews isn’t it ? So I have given my honest review and you don’t have to respond rudely. Thanks for your service and wouldn’t recommend any one for PRP
This place takes advantage of people with skin problems and charges like a wound bull. Also sells there own products at super high prices. $190 for a5 minute consulte. Beware people
If I could give no stars I would, I would also attach the endless texts morning of appointment of cancellation x 4 separate bookings spanning over 3-4months with no follow up from reception to apologise or create a new booking following this as I had had enough of sorting child care changing my work schedule to cater for all of these appointments I emailed the manager who condescendingly tells me after much deflecting from taking any responsibility for all these issues and how they were handled …to go else where. Do not go to this clinic they will mess you around and then never follow up. I fully understand covid etc but the conduct of how you handle the process for clients is un professional. Following the managers advice I called Transform in Riccarton they have been super helpful professional and arranged for me to have a consultation the very next day. Km surgical With the amount of money each customer could potentially spend at this clinic I’m shocked at how many terrible experiences I’ve seen in these reviews from other potential clients seems this clinic isn’t that concerned about making money. Anyways do not book here unless you want to be messed around! In response to km manager -as stated above I understood reasons for canceling my issue is with the lack of communication and process after the cancellations if I could post photos of all the receipts of txts dates & emails telling me to go to another clinic I would hope you do better to improve your customer service for other clients.
Thanks to Amanda for an amazing experience. After getting quotes from multiple different places for Botox I finally found someone who listened to what I wanted and achieved it for such a reasonable price! The staff here are all really friendly and helpful thanks
Went in with some issues on my face today - was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews here, but was welcomed to friendly reception, clean waiting room/bathroom/building. I had a consultation with Dr Martin and it went very well, I was able to ask all my questions without feeling like I was being silly or annoying. Also came to a conclusion on how to proceed, and was advised there are more alternatives if this route didn't work. Left feeling like I had the information I needed to begin tackling my skin issue. Great service overall, and based on my experience this time I would recommend to others.
From the moment I began communication to the treatment I was in great hands. Doctor Tom was wonderful, giving me all the information I needed to make an informed decision and the treatment was very professional. GPs had told me not to bother doing anything as I needed surgery but that was not the case at all. So very pleased with the results. Highly recommended!
Not surprised to read the other reviews here - was given a referral from my GP and made an appointment. On the day, I was caught in traffic behind a car accident and phoned 30 mins prior to appointment to explain the situation and apologise. The receptionist was exceptionally rude, and didn’t seem to understand I wouldn’t make it on time due to a situation entirely out of my control, and told me “don’t turn up late and expect to be seen” but when I asked if I could reschedule, I was told to call back. Things turned unbelievable when I phoned back that afternoon - I was told I would not be allowed to rebook because I had “done this before, been a no show to appointments here” - I had never been to K M surgical before. I asked when this previous missed appointment supposedly was, and turns out it was while I wasn’t even living in New Zealand. I asked to speak to the office manager to sort the confusion out and was refused. I asked for her direct line or email address, also refused. Was told she would email me within 48 hours, and while I explained I wasn’t confident I would be contacted, I was told “well she is busy and very unhappy about this”. I explained again that I was really confused by this situation, and was more than happy to provide evidence of employment in Europe during this supposed “no show”. Unsurprisingly, I was never contacted. I can’t comment on their services as I saw another dermatologist at another practise, and was very happy. As a medical professional myself, this occurrence left me gobsmacked as to how they think this is acceptable- especially with so many reviews of identical complaints. EDIT: Hilariously, I have been claimed as a “fake review by a keyboard warrior” - really, doesn’t this speak volumes about the professionalism of this place? I will phone on Monday, as I am sure my name will still be in your system, and update review accordingly. An also happy to upload the copy of my referral note I have from GP if anyone considering going here also believes this is a ‘fake review’. Not sure why I’d pick a business I have no association to and spend my time writing a poor review for the fun of it. People attending medical practises of any kind are often in a more vulnerable state and deserve professionalism and due respect, I’m simply alerting people that from my experience and it seems many others that it may not be wise to expect that from here.
I review everywhere before I interact with businesses .... how many companies actually care enough about their customers and brand to respond to google reviews.... almost none! So any company willing to take the time to care about feedback from customers clearly has a customer centric ethic. I am ignoring 1 star ratings here and going by the word of mouth recommendations I have heard about KM Surgical.
