Andrei Paulet began his career as an elite athlete in his home country of Romania at the age of 10. By age 11 he had already ranked second in Olympic Wrestling Nationals and placed among the top 3 multiple times. By 16 he had moved up to become Romania's national champion for Olympic Wrestling.
In November 2005 Andrei moved to Auckland, New Zealand and began making a name for himself as an athlete here. In 2006 Andrei became a blue belt in brasillian jiu jitsu. In 2007 the NZ government granted him citizenship in order to be able to represent New Zealand internationally as an Olympic wrestler. Andrei has been both New Zealand national champion and Oceania champion.
In 2009 Andrei competed in the Commonwealth Championships in Jhalandar, India placing 4th and qualifying him for the 2010 Common Wealth Games. 2009/10 saw Andrei spend much time in training camps preparing for the Commonwealth Championships and Games. He spent time in training camps in Japan, America, Spain and Romania. In 2010 during the lead up to the Games he ranked in the top 4 in the Great Britain cup, and top 6 in the Spanish Grand Prix. At the end of 2010 Andrei competed at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.
2010- began his career as a personal trainer and wrestling coach
2012 - started fighting MMA and kick-boxing.
2013- Began training in Olympic weightlifting
Andrei's areas of speciality are fitness boot-camps, strength and conditioning, boxing, wrestling and weightlifting.
