Amplify is a Music Programme that aims to provide young people the opportunity to engage in musical arts that is fun, safe and affordable.

Story

Amplify is part of Youth Alive Trust which is a not-for-profit youth organisation, based in New Brighton, Christchurch that offers a variety of youth programmes to the wider community.

Whether they’re already a musician or just starting out, Amplify seeks the potential in young people to cultivate their musicianship, create positive memories, foster a love for musical arts & to develop pathways for their future careers in the music industry.

Amplify Music Programmes include
1.) Youth Band: Weekly band rehearsals teaching young people a variety of music genres and how to play in a band. Young people will learn numerous songs, work with other musicians, develop performance techniques, build confidence and gain musical experience.

2.) Music Lessons: Young people can receive weekly music tuition on a selection of instruments with both theory and practical elements are included.

3.) In-Schools and Agency Work: Amplify assists schools and agencies in the delivery of their music education as well as running weekly lunch time band rehearsals and jam sessions.
