"Amelia-May Italian has been importing Italian Linen Clothing since 2016. Locally owned and operated, garments are personally sourced to provide a wide range of styles, fabrics and sizes.I am a qualified Dressmaker/Seamstress and ran a small soft furnishing manufacturing business for several years. I studied Fibres and Fabrics at school which has given me the valuable information I draw on daily to advise and assist clients with their garment choices and best practice laundering.Our aim is to add a touch of something special to the feel-good factor of each of our clients and ensure results leave them "Looking Good & Feeling Fabulous". Came here with my mother just last week as she had seen/walked by the shop many of times before and wanted to go inside to have a look around. My mother commented on how the clothes were lovely so she wanted to try some on, with us being apart of the "bigger girl" side of things we weren't expecting to find too much but that's okay because we were only looking. I personally felt like we were rushed to try on clothing, and a lot of the clothes, we agreed didn't suit our figure but that okay because its obvious people have different things more suited to them. Mum saw a nice overlay type shirt that we though would've been nice to TRY on but the shop assistant had other ideas and told us "I would prefer that you not try that as the material does not stretch" lovely thanks for letting us know, but I'm sure that when you yourself are trying on clothes and you realise they don't fit you around your arms, legs bust or whatever you immediately take them off anyway and say "oh well that's okay we'll try something else". The assistant was hovering us watching and making sure we didn't try it on, we were uncomfortable. NEVER in my life have I left a shop more quicker as this is not acceptable, working in a clothing business you should know the vocabulary and respect to know what words to use, we were fine looking at the clothes by ourself but instead we were being followed around. We left and my mother cried. I have never seen this type of thing affect her before and I was appalled. Being a bigger girl has it struggles but when you're specifically told not to try something on as your worried that we'll break it I'm sure people know when clothes don't fit them but being purposely told no, it hurts. having to comfort your mother over something you already struggle with is difficult as it is normally them comforting you. Will not be ever coming back. Regards.
Love the quality and style. The pants are stylish and amazingly comfortable. They just wash so well looking fresh and like new wash after wash. I have favourite tops over 4 years old that still look like new. Absolutely recommend. Huge range of beautiful dresses, pants tops jackets and some gorgeous things for home as well.
Love Amelia May. Could spend days there immersed in that wonderful Aladdin's cave of beautiful things. The staff are attentive but not intrusively so, they are very familiar with their stock and are able to lay their hands on different sizes, colours and shapes when something is not quite right. Have purchased on line and the staff have gone above and beyond to get my goods to me. I find a visit there is a little like a therapy session, chatting with other customers, a little like a visit to the hairdresser. I always come out feeling happy.
The owner, Staci, of this beautiful range of clothing and accessories is the most helpful and lovely lady I have come across in years. I was first introduced to this lovely range of clothing at Strawberry Fair 3 1/2 yrs ago. I have 4 of the stunning long dresses with 3 little jackets that just make the dresses. I also have one long jacket with 3/4 sleeves that goes with most of the dresses. They all go with the rest of my wardrobe as well. I get so much wear out of them and man are they comfy. I do have more dresses also I would love to say my favorite is....but I just love ALL my garments. I have just bought another hoodie from Staci. It is so soft i get heaps of huggles from hubby when wearing it and it is so slimming, I feel a million dollars in it. I would love to visit her shop one day as it looks stunning and inviting. When I want buy from Staci she is sooooo helpful as she takes photo's of what I am after and sends them to me. Staci is so accommodating and helpful. I would rate this lovely lady and her gorgeous shop 10/10. Thank you for being you Staci

I purchased a most gorgeous long linen jacket with measurements given via email.My daughter saw it and loved it on sight.So l ordered her colour choice. From my very first experience at the Wanaka show in 2020...Amelia-May Italian has always been an amazing experience!.. So much variety and something for everyone, Stacie yet again generously donated some gorgeous clothes to auction for our Pink Ribbon Breakfast in Te Anau 2020/2021 so grateful! I absolutely LOVE Amelia-May Italian clothing. I have SO many of these garments. Nice to get lovely knitwear that is different to elsewhere. I think I am addicted !!!
