Belonging begins here … at All About Children.

We are an affordable and licensed day care in a handy location in Avondale. Family-owned and operated, we are an inspiring day care that provides every child in our care the chance to achieve their full potential. Children are encouraged and empowered to use all their senses asa form of expression and discovery.

Our Avondale-based day care is centred on a philosophy of “Belonging”– we are a “home away from home”. We are comparable to a village centre, where everyone – children, parents and teachers – enjoy coming together and interacting with each other. The centre philosophy is interwoven with values of respect, trust, collaboration, joy and wonder.

Our holistic early learning education curriculum is delivered with complete participation from parents. We recognise that parents are a child’s first teachers – the best your child will ever have. The educators at our Avondale day care aim to continue your learning journey and vision for your child, sprinkling it with their expertise in the field. You are invited to participate in the centre’s activities and encouraged to actively contribute towards our programme and your child’s progress as a part of it.This invitation is also extended to your wider family/whanau and the local community – as they say, it takes a village to raise a child.

At All About Children kids can explore freely, be themselves and learn at their own pace. We respect and trust a child. Our role is to provide security and only the necessary support in order for them to develop independence. This is a skill for life. We believe that when children experience freedom to explore in a quality, stimulating environment (as provided by our Avondale day care), their learning is enhanced.

"All About Children was established in 2010, by three colleagues who had worked together previously. Whilst they enjoyed working in the sector, they felt disillusioned by what was being provided. They were really passionate about childcare and wanted to establish a group that would put children at the centre of everything that they did, and so, All About Children was born.Back in 2010, All About Children’s journey began with the belief that nothing was more important than delivering outstanding outcomes for children. This is a belief that our work family of over 900 members still strongly stand by today."
