My first wedding was way back in 1987 and since then I have taken more than 80 weddings. Whether you want a classical style with all the bells and whistles or something really modern and non traditional, I can help you put together something personal and meaningful.
I can even help advise you on selection of photographers, venues, makeup and florists

From start to finish Alan was professional, friendly and so helpful! Alan supported us throughout the whole process from our initial zoom call, to my many questions via email and finally on the day. He made sure we both knew exactly what to do and say on the day and put us both at ease. Alan told our story perfectly, it felt like he had known us for years! All of our guests commented on how funny yet professional our ceremony was and how friendly Alan had been in welcoming them all. Alan conducted our wedding in December 2022. From our first time meeting him in the lead up to the wedding, we knew he was the man for the job. He took the time to get to know us and then turned what we told him into a funny, sincere and personalised ceremony that was centred around us and our story. He had both of us and all of our guests in fits of laughter. Our guests were commenting after to say he did a great job and it was one of the best ceremonies they had been part of. I would recommend Alan to friends, family and anyone who asks!

What a fantastic humanist Alan is. The ceremony was our favourite part of the wedding and that’s because Alan wrote and delivered it so well. All of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony and Alan’s approach. He has the perfect balance of making a ceremony feel formal but relaxed. His communication leading up to the big day was always so prompt and he really put our minds at ease when we were worried about certain logistical things to do with our marriage license.
We could not have asked for a better wedding celebrant - Alan is quite simply, AMAZING!! Due to Covid postponements, we had been in touch with Alan for a couple of years prior to our eventual wedding date and the care and support Alan gave us during the period of uncertainty was second to none and in the run-up to the wedding, he was there for us every step of the way. He made us feel like we were the only couple he was working with. The service he delivered at our wedding was exactly what we wanted and SO SO much more! It was relaxed, poignant, funny and captured our love story perfectly. It was the one part of the wedding that every single one of our guests commented on with such excitement and joy - 4 months on and people are still talking about Alan! It really was our favourite part of the day and I honestly don't think anyone could have captured it more perfectly! We will cherish the memories forever and can't thank Alan enough.
Alan married me and my wife last week and he was honestly top drawer. We searched about for the perfect humanist and after having a chat with Alan we knew he was the guy for the job.Alan kept myself and my wife calm and helped to settle those wedding day nerves with a few jokes .Alan conducted the ceremony in a way that truly reflected our love story even with some humour to keep our wedding guests laughing throughout the ceremony.We couldn't recommend him highly enough.Alan played a massive part in our special day a massive thanks from Mr &Mrs Currie

Alan married us back in July 2021 and honestly could not recommend him enough. We found him to be funny, charismatic and exactly the type of personality to put the guests and ourselves at total ease so we could enjoy the ceremony. Alan stepped in after our original celebrant let us down and looking back we’re so delighted we were let down as Alan was the perfect fit for us as a couple. My husband and I are both gifted with quite a dark sense of humour and this didn’t phase Alan at all - he found ways of incorporating it into our celebration, keeping ourselves and guests engaged and laughing throughout! The communication throughout the planning process and beyond was first class, helping us to feel relaxed and confident about how things were going to run by the time the ceremony came around. We cannot thank Alan enough for everything he did to make our day special, we have such happy memories of our day and Alan was a huge part of that. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an individualised wedding ceremony that reflects who they are as a couple!
