Tried this place out due to recommendations and reviews from googlennI ordered the Turkish eggs and my partner ordered standard eggs with some mushrooms on side. Both were really flavourful and yum!nnMy coffee was very goodnnSeating was tight though so atmosphere would be nicer when less busy. The staff were friendly and attentive too. Thank you

Review of Akito EaterynnWe were excited to try Akito Eatery after reading so many glowing reviews, but it didn’t fully meet our expectations. The space is undeniably charming, with a lovely vibe, and the menu is interesting, featuring options like shakshuka and Turkish eggs. The smoothie was quite good—fresh and flavorful—but the food overall was just okay, and the coffee didn’t live up to the hype. The service was also quite slow, which added to our disappointment. We also found it a bit overpriced for what was offered. That said, it’s a cute spot and worth visiting once for the atmosphere, but it’s not a place we’d rush back to.

In a street with so many options it was a lovely breakfast stop with a family and kids. Food was quick, and great. Couple Of snaps of options. Full breakfast with corn fritter, and a pancake stack for kids. Solid 4 , 5 stars if the coffee had hit the spot, maybe I needed to ask for a double shot otherwise a lovely Place to stop

All I can say is WOW as far as food goes—I had the Turkish eggs with an upgrade of grilled halloumi here and it exceeded every expectation I had. The chili butter drizzled over the eggs and lentils was just incredible.nnThe coffee was good, a soy latte, and overall the space was bright and open with huge open windows.nnI would absolutely recommend this restaurant, to a traveler or a local—the food was just sensational!!nn**Quick Tip: My party and I wound up sitting for about 20 minutes before someone told us that you were supposed to order at the counter—so if you’re hungry, just make sure you go up to the counter and order to save you some time hehe**

Akito is a gem of a place and a must-try on Waiheke Island! We came for breakfast and loved our meal so much that we came back the next day for breakfast again before leaving the island.nnAs a vegan, I so appreciated the plentiful vegan options thank you Akito! and my non-vegan husband had no issues finding excellent options for himself. They were very accommodating for his own food allergy.nnThe Apple Peanut Butter Pancakes are Out.Of.This.World! And the Spicy Tofu Scramble Roti was SO flavorful and perfectly spicy with the right amount of heat.nnDo yourself a favor and stop by Akito for a wonderful, delicious meal or two!.
