I think Beach cafe has new owners. Wasn't sure about having breakfast here to start with but what a lovely surprise when we did! The staff are friendly and our order came super quick. We ordered eggs Benedict with salmon which was beautiful, a huge portion and the eggs were spot on! We were asked through our meal if everything was to our satisfaction. Now that is what I call superb service. The prices of meals are Also very affordable. Not more expensive than anywhere else. Absolutely no complaints all round. Will definitely be back and highly recommend
The beach cafe is one of the restaurants across the road from Maraetai Beach. They are the ones that have Movenpick. The place looks quite nice and bright. It has a nice view of the beach. We grabbed a takeaway order to eat elsewhere. We grabbed the calamari, corn fritter with bacon, and the fish and chips. The portions weren't too bad. The corn fritters were more like pancakes with some corn in them though. The other two were nicely cooked. They all came with a side salad and sauce. It wasn't too bad for a takeaway meal.
Avocado on toast was delicious and beautifully presented. Great dinner deals on Fridays all mains $19.90 will definitely be returning to try them out. Friendly staff, nice and warm inside and lovely sea view from our table. Thank you
The food seems to go down in quality every time I visit. Their “grilled chicken breast” club sandwich was a deep fried crumbed chicken portion in unbuttered cheap white bread. False advertising. It is disappointing as this used to be a fantastic cafe.
I had the salmon eggs benedict, and I was already full half way through it; very generous portion size. Great beach view; atmosphere clean and tidy, friendly service, cost worth it; what more do you need? Well done!
Such a nice service, and the food is really good and affordable, i will recommend to go to the beach in front of the restaurant and eat a lunch after, the best activity Parking: A lot of parking around
Visited over the festive period and it was a little busy as they were one of a few businesses that was open,to be fair. We ordered what we thought was a simple plate of chips and it was very freshly made with cheese sauce. It was magnificent! The weather was inclement so we sat inside but still had a view of the sea across the road. Right Cafè at the right spot
Very Nice location, mid quality food and coffee. Staff are helpful and smiling but not coming to you to take order and you should go to them. Food came to our table quickly. Menu is really basic and ingredients are basic and normal supermarket supplied. Don’t expect anything flash but basic and nicely prepared. Again view and location is amazing.
Visited the Beach Cafe today Sunday 15th January .. So impressed ..Thank you so much .. Wonderful friendly staff so welcoming and efficient . The food was excellent , the coffee prefect, the setting so relaxing .. Thank you Harmony and Raj you have both worked very hard and it shows!! . Highly recommend FIVE STARS Will definitely return!!
I was disappointed as this cafe is well situated right opposite a lovely beach but service was slow and unfriendly sadly. In their benefit there was a warning sign that they were short staffed and there was a group of us needing food. However my pie was also not as tasty as it looked. I would shop there again to try freshly cooked food which others in our group did enjoy even though they found service was slow and unfriendly also.
