First up! Loved their stainless steel refill jugs - I bought a couple back with me to Melbourne emptied of course. Lovely shed like brewery with a few outdoor tables and has a good truck inside. Great selection of beers. We ordered 4 paddles and tasted most of the menu that day. We had some oysters with us and they were ok for us to eat them there too.
A must visit for food and beer! We were blown away by the food from Sculptureum Kitchen, and beers super too! Honestly the best burger we’ve ever had, incredible calamari and a big portion of buffalo wings. Get the beer flight taster and try a bunch of beers with the food.
Great place to hang out after a long week. Beer selection is awesome. Highly recommended.
Great spot staff super friendly & very knowledgeable. Great range of beers nice place to enjoy an afternoon. Food a little bit on the pricey side, but definitely try the fried pickles so bloody good shame there's only 5 slices....
Best place to eat and drink in Matakana. Both meals were amazing, I had the strange combination of chicken schnitzel with nachos on top, which was surprisingly very good and my wife had the green salad. Well worth the walk down from the shops
Amazing brewery .....love this place beer heaven Staff super friendly and helpful , atmosphere is great matched with great decor inside . Can’t fault it . Food was excellent they have just moved a container into the brewery for a permanent pop up food truck style fare. Awesome.
We love craft beer and food trucks on Sundays. 8 Wired has some really different beers. Lots of sours and I tried a barley wine beer stored in wine barrels that was unexpected and actually quite nice. Tasting paddles are the way to HO, as you can try a few different beers. The fit out is like many other breweries - industrial meets 70s lounge decor. Although unlike many other breweries, the furniture appears newly made so you’re less like to drop into a sofa where the springs have gone. The food truck was Amaranto - Italian but all gluten free. The pasta was delicious and comforting, and the meatballs were accompanied by a lovely sauce. Highly recommended next time you’re in Matakana.
Came on Saturday, had a sample of beers/IPA and snapper wings. Super cool staff. Came back Sunday at 1755 hrs you know to spend more money. Neckbeard fist wag, they wouldn't serve food. Therefore four stars. Sorry guys, your website says 1900 is closing. Boo hiss. Edit: Its 1812hrs and we got a call from the bar stating it's the last call. Hello it's not 1900hrs yet? One more star ding. Place is unwelcoming we good beer. Hard pass Edit: Dec, 28 super slow service on food prolly staff issues. The beer is always on point. Also sharpen your coloring pencils pls
What cool place to try some amazing beers and other beverages! Enjoyed a very chillaxed afternoon there while it was raining and blowing gales outside. Highly recommended.
A great place to stop by with some ethanol. Great place you can see the barrels. Don't really care about price as it is always cheaper to drink at home for the identical ethanol. If you like to drink stop by when you go to matakana market
