Currently in New Zealand, there are no single origin packed sourced Colombian coffees. Most Colombian coffee is blended in Europe with Asian sourced robusta coffee to lower price points. Many brands get away with this as New Zealand does not yet have country of origin labeling laws. This is about to change.
We feel consumers are now demanding to know the origins of the products they consume. By reaching an agreement with the Colombia Growers Federations, we are able to provide clarity and provenance of our product. The federation was founded in 1927 as a business cooperative that promotes the production and exportation of Colombian coffee. It currently represents more than 500,000 producers, most of whom are small family owned farms.
