In June 2020 I underwent a procedure at Vein Doctor Hawkes Bay for the removal of bothersome and irritating varicose veins from below my groin to the ankle of my left leg. Dr. Paul Weaver performed the procedure at his rooms. Everything went to plan and, even though some discomfort was experienced, it was all over in under 40 minutes.... all performed through a minor incision near the foot. A quick 30 minute walk around the block after the procedure to ensure all was good and i was sent home. Had to wear compression stocking for the next 3 weeks and walk a lot, good thing for my fitness and health. Further visits to the surgery showed that the procedure was a 100% success. 7 months later and my leg feels great, no more swellings or cramps and i can sense that i have much improved blood circulation in my leg now. At all time Dr. Paul was informative, diligent and caring about my well-being. His assistant Deb's was also great. Dr. Paul also went into bat for me when AIA Insurance initially declined my claim for the procedure and ultimatrly persuaded AIA to approve the claim. An awesome saving to me personally. Dr Weaver worked tirelessly to assist me with my legs. During this time he went above and beyond at all times including on his time off to ensure a positive outcome. I strongly recommend Dr Weaver to anyone who has problems with varicose veins.
