7-Eleven Ringwood North have been telling customers that my parents 'sold' the store.nnThe truth: after 18 years of serving the community, they were terminated by the corp 7 Eleven.nnWhy? About a year ago, they decided they wanted to sell the store, they weren't looking to make any profit from the sale, they just wanted to clear the remainder of their debt. A month after the store was being evaluated, 7-Eleven Australia decided to terminate them. No breach of contract for 18 years, but now suddenly a month after putting the store for sale, they somehow were in breach of contract nnWhat did this mean? Because of breach of contract, 7 Eleven could then take the store back from them without giving them a cent.nnIf anything, they were offered 32k to sign a non-disclosure agreement, silencing them of their right to speak about it. They didn't sign.nnWhat do we want? We know this is happening to other small franchisees, please share and spread awareness. We want the media to get involved and justice to be served. Please share with the community.
There has been a post from that 7eleven have told the community that this person's parents sold the business.nnThey then say that is not true but then go on to say their patents put the place up for sake.n.nDon't you think that contradicts itself???nnI say these 1 star reviews referencing the change in the stores running are unwarranted and nothing but sour grapesnnI am proud to support the store
Terminated family that owned the business for 18 years. 18 years of loyalty turning into 18 years of slavery - terminated with no payout. Dad is now 63 and cannot retire and has to look for part time work to continue paying off debt.
Awful experience! Seeing a change of management or staffing which makes a significant impact. 'friendly service' was a major reason why I would visit this place if I'm in the area.nnWould've given 0 stars if it was an option. Also seeing new corporate involvement in the boycott doesn't surprise me. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!
Knowing my father will have to keep working, let alone find a new job at the age of 65 is heartbreaking. He has sacrificed almost 2 decades of his life to this 7-Eleven just to give our family a better life. A BILLION dollar company, ruining the lives of small family franchise owners. SHAME ON YOU!nMY PARENTS DESERVE JUSTICE.nBOYCOTT 7-ELEVEN.
