Great Shanghainese food. We got the pan-fried pork buns and the dumplings. Both had similar flavours and were excellent. The base was crispy and the top was soft. The meat inside was savoury and the vinegar helped to balance it out with some acidity. The shredded pork was also great. The pork had a nice chewy texture and sauce was very nice. It paired well with the wraps given and also on top of rice. The vegetables were fine and was subtle in flavour. The spring rolls came out hot and crispy. The filling was mainly cabbage. I wish there were a sauce for this dish. The food is a bit expensive but worth it. The restaurant is modern, clean and comfortable. The service is good. Bookings are recommended to go here as it is very busy. Otherwise come early for dinner.
Overall pretty nice place!! Xiu Long Bao was nice and soft! My favourite was the Pan Fried Pork Bun. Softest on the top and nice and crisp on the bottom. Inside was also juicy which we love Salted egg yolk with tofu and prawns - a little disappointing. Dish was pretty mild, salted egg yolk was very subtle. Thought it would have more flavour. Service was great, although we were there earlier and there were less people. They get busy at night around 7pm.
We had Chinese new year eve dinner here. Although the restaurant was jammed pack, the service staff was very professional and efficient. Service was faultless. Food came out very quickly and the dishes cleared away promptly. When we waited for dessert, different staff came forward to assure dessert will come shortly. Food was delicious and we couldn't finished it as it was a new year set menu for 4 and we were 3 persons. Set menu was $288 and with drinks came to $318. Though the dishes were delicious, it certainly didn't match the price. With the price tag, one would expect big prawns or lobster. We had 8 prawn balls wrapped over a lychee each and a steamed barramundi. The other dishes were their normal menu items. It was overpriced but as it was Chinese New Year eve, we accepted it and still gave a good rating.
Food is consistently good. Efficient and attentive service. Clean and nice decor. Good prices. One of the best Xiao Long Bao I have had. Shanghai noodles , fried rice, morning glory, salt and pepper pork chop, pan fried pork buns all tasty and fresh. Will be back to try more dishes
Food was excellent. Staff were so accommodating even though we came in ten minutes before kitchen closed. Xiao long bao was full of soup!
We ordered the fried bun, chicken with chilli sauce and stirred fried bak choy with pork crackling. The fried buns are superb! My first bite exploded with soup in bun. The chicken with chilli sauce is very different from the ones I had. This one has strong curry powder taste. As for the bak choy with pork crackling, mediocre. Will be back for other dishes.
Pretty good shanghai restaurant .Food is good. Efficient and attentive service. Refreshing feeling décor. Reasonable pricing. We 2 people ordered Xiao Long Bao , fried shallot cake and Dan Dan noodle, all are spot on. Will be back to try more dishes, recommend.Food: 5/5
My family of 4 had lunch here recently. The food is very enjoyable. Dan dan noodle is very tasty. Visit again for dinner and the food is great and very enjoyable.
Decent food. Abit expensive They charge for soy sauce and chilli oil.
Delicious Shanghainese food. The xiao long bao was juicy, and the meatball was decadent with the egg yolk in the middle. Slightly expensive for the amount of food we got but I would recommend.
