There is consistently a line of customers waiting to be seated, which is a testament to the quality of the food. The restaurant is designed in a food court style, with self-service water and sauce stations. However, the delicious, handmade Lanzhou Beef Noodles more than make up for the lack of traditional table service.
The best Lanzhou beef noodles EVER! The broth is so rich with a deep, complex flavour. The noodles are hand-pulled. The broth is so healing. Very affordable! We keep coming back, over 20 times, because it’s that good. There is often a queue during busy hours, but you won’t wait too long since the service is fast. We’ve been to Lanzhou noodle places in Guangzhou, China, and none were even close to as good as 1915. This place is on the must-visit list if you are in Sydney!
The broth was wonderfully flavorful with the perfect level of spice, and the hand-pulled noodles were fantastic. The dumplings were fresh, plump, and delightfully crispy. The lamb skewers were tender and absolutely delicious.
EFTPOS available.nNo issues with ordering - the food came out so quickly, piping hot.nI ordered the beef noodles as mentioned on the board, behind the counter with ‘prism’ noodles. I asked for a smallest amount of spice, otherwise there is a numbing feeling that can overtake the tongue, mouth and nasal cavity. Extra noodles can be ordered.nnSingular seats have a middle perspex divider, incredibly clever design. It meant I was able to get a seat for myself, without taking up too much space, so families could come in and have their meal too.nMiddle seats have a curved back, still comfortable.nnBooth seats comfortable too.nThe tiled picture of the goddess, with a flute was intricately done.nnI arrived at 5:30pm and was able to get a seat. Once I had finish at 6:15pm, there was already a long line of people waiting. Incredibly popular.
Delicious noodle soup and dumplings for the Winter weather! Also really good to see more Halal-certified restaurants offering high-quality and popular food options in Sydney. Can’t wait to revisit and try the other menu items!
