This is not an easy review to write. I feel that this restaurant deserves 4 stars but I have decided to give 3 for the following reasons; The time it took for our meals to come out was very long. It took 30 minutes for our chilli con queso to get to our table and there was not many people in. Our mains came 40 minutes after the con queso. This felt too long. Secondly the rice dish although full of seafood and a fresh water cray was a little bland in flavour. I was excited as the dish was labelled as a mexican version of paella, though it was soupy not paella like and lacking flavours. Apart from that, staff were incredibly friendly and the churros, chimichunga and chilli con queso were all great. I will be back and will review once again after trying for the second time.
Very tasty and flavoursome, generous portions, staff were friendly and attentive and prices were very reasonable..
Classic 'caught in a time warp' holiday town restaurant. Some classics on the menu as well as excellent margaritas.
This is hands down one of my all time favorite restaurants. The Mexican food here is always great, and they do the best chimichangas i have ever tasted. The service is always friendly in this pleasant atmosphere, to suit any occasion. There is a wide variety of drinks and desserts to please young and old alike. 5/5 just love it, i highly recommend this restaurant to everyone
This review is way long over due, I have been here many times! It started after trying so many Mexican Restaurant's in WA and being disappointed by them when I travelled as a sales rep. I was told repetitively by friends to go here... I finally did and you know what... I loved their food! If it was not for this place, I would have never bothered with another Mexican Resturant. From what I can tell, it is made fresh on site? Well it seems that way to me : My favourite foods they have are the enchiladas and their beef Nachos. I can not wait to go back here :
The food is so amazing I always fill up till I can eat no more. The service is fantastic and the cocktails can't be beaten. It's the most relaxing restaurant I have been to and will definitely continue going there.
Busy night, two floor staff and one was doing drinks...we got one drink the entire time. Entree came in a timely manner. Complimentary water bottle had green ring around the stopper. Hang on to your entree serviette as you won't get another one. No cutlery with mains...side plates greasy. I was expecting flavours, however the food was bland. I ordered chimichanga based on other reviews...didnt eat it all as got sick of eating the black flavourless sludge. The drink staff member was also doing desserts as she was the "only one who knows how to do them", so we did not bother. Not pricey, but could have spent more if we could get drinks and desserts. Based on what we did get, we won't be back. Two stars for trying.
Came along this is my 4th visit, the last two times the service has been, just plain weird. The food you order, is placed over an arms reach form you, it was both the servers. The food is not spectacular, and pudding was dry and uninviting. I did bring the same issue to their attention about being unusual with wait staff the time before last and nothing is different. I would say worse
Very good service and meals came out quickly but the food was not up to scratch. The corn chips were hard and oily and the dishes were not what one would expect at a good mexican resturant and we have been to quite a few over the years. We suggest that the cook and or owners go to mexican kitchen in Fremantle and order some of the dishes on their menu for a comparison. We are not trying to be horrible as we could see the staff were trying really hard but the quality was just not there sorry and hope you may be able to modify your menu offerings accordingly. We suspect the microwave is used pretty exclusively to just reheat previously prepared frozen dishes.
Couldn't recommend it, to be honest. We had soggy takeaway tacos that appeared to have been merely run through the microwave, rather than freshly prepared as one would expect, given the exorbitant price. The attitude of the staff I found disappointing, too. They were just this side of rude. I won't go there again.
