Amazing place! I have been enjoying the coffees from here on a regular basis for a couple months, and it never disappoints. Their baguettes and pastries are also amazing. Staff is always very friendly, always offering an excellent customer service. Zimt is definitely a place to go if you are in the area.
Absolutely gorgeous cake just as I requested for my birthday. However I was disappointed with the actual vanilla and raspberry butter cake. It seemed overcooked dark on the edges and was rather dry. Even some of the guests said it was dry. Such a shame as it was not a cheap cake and had been looking forward to it so much
Nice cakes and pastries, reasonable coffee, but otherwise limited menu and the service was a bit blasé.
Wonderful cakes and pastries all beautifully presented. Especially recommend the deliciously moist and flavoursome plum cake. But there is so much to choose from. Dine in or takeaway. Plenty of gift ideas with pretty tins of biscuits some with musical boxes. You just have to come and see for yourself. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Beautifully designed custom birthday cake, lovingly made art that was hard to want to slice into and eat! The cake was a large chocolate mud cake and it was simply delightful; moist and delicious, it was reminiscent of a chocolate ice cream cake of sorts. The entire family loved it.Food: 5/5
Best commercial Stollen German Christmas cake I've eaten outside Germany. Staff pleasant and helpful even on a hot day shortly before Christmas. And great treats for last minute stocking fillers. I'll be back for a special dine in experience!Food: 5/5
We picked up our beautiful ‘Millefeuille Cake’ from Zimt Patisserie for our parents 60th wedding anniversary - Amazing
The food was good but not heated well, cold in the middle, and the person who ordered after me got his food warmed up and served first. Update Recent time the pastry was heated in the microwave so it came out mushy instead of crunchy on the outside, tasted like leftover instead of fresh cafe food. Disappointed.
I recently moved into the Surrey Hills area and wanted to support the local shops due to the disruptions caused by the rail crossing. The interior decorations are beautiful at Zimt and I thought it would ultimately be my local cafe as I settle into the area. However, my last encounter there was terrible... the older lady at the counter snapped at me and was extremely rude as I wanted to use the StampMe reward point. A very unpleasant experience and will not be back.
This Austrian patisserie has been around way before Surrey Hills became a local hot spot, serving some of the most authentic strudels in Melbourne as well as lots of gluten free goodies. I recently took my mum there for her birthday, we were treated to a high tea set of great coffee, scones with berry jam and cream, cupcakes, tarts and macarons. Loved ever bit of it!
