OK food, but dated ambience. We came latih at night and were happy to have found a place open and agreeable to all three of us. The pizza and pasta were good, but way too expensive for the simple dishes they were. Also, the place did not look very inviting and the table we ended up in was next to a window with some chilling air. Simply did not feel cozy.
Food was great and food came out in good time. Be patient with the staff, they were young and enthusiastic but unfortunately they weren't given much direction. Really great to see so many of them given a go to work in Australia. Italian red wine was beautiful, All in all great meal so don't be put off by some of the reviews about service. Cheers
Hungry just before their closing time. Went in and ordered the chicken pizza and a beer. The pizza was average, nothing special. Could have been from a chain. I always look for a point of difference in an independent store and didn’t find it here. I guess that’s always a danger in a tourist hot spot. Lots of room for improvement and has the facilities to do it.
This may be the best pizza I've ever eaten! Not kidding. Prices are good, especially for Sydney and The Rocks, atmosphere is cosy and staff attentive. But the pizza, Mama Mia, it is perfect. Crust not too doughy, not Pizza Hut-style Sao biscuit either. Just right. Tomato base is tasty without overpowering and ingredients generous. Went back twice in a week so that should say something.
Great little pizza place in Rocks area and reasonably priced in the location. Classic semi-chaotic, do your best type service but everyone is polite and helpful. Plenty of staff and they have no room to work in with plenty of tables jammed in and the steep one lane stairs if you are upstairs but it all adds to the atmosphere.
It's a convenient restaurant. The food was okay. The staff needs to do a better service. I didn't like because I ordered a Pumpkim Ravioli and my husband a pizza. The Ravioli came 10 minutes before the pizza. It's not good when this things happen.Food: 4/5
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The food was very average and very stingy with pizza/pasta toppings. Drinks never had ice even after the fact of asking for ice after the 2nd round. The owner was rude and staff had absolutely no idea on what they were doing. I’d never come here again - disappointed.
Excellent pizza located on the Rocks. The inside has a very dated and it is expensive like everything is near the Rocks. However the pizza is wonderful. Very similar to the pizza you would get in Rome, Italy. I had the Neapolitan’s with anchovies and olives and it brought me back to Rome. As I said, the inside is a very dated. I would recommend utilizing their street side patio if the weather is nice.
Went here for dinner during a day out with friends. This place caught our eye . The ambience here was nice and inviting, felt very retro and homely with some vintage decor. It was really nice to sit outside and admire the scenery of the Rocks. Service here as other reviews mention, felt friendly but chaotic. Staff here are very polite but it seems like they were flustered tonight. It seemed like they had trouble dealing with what looked liked a full house tonight. My group was abit unhappy that it took quite the effort to get attention from staff so we can order. Maybe management needs to take a look and give staff better direction. Finally ,food here was quite nice. Ordered the calzone and while it was a bit difficult to eat because of the plate size, I was pretty satisfied at the end. I think my friends were also happy with their pizzas. Pricing was fairly reasonable, considering the "touristy reputation" of the area. It would be around $25-30 pp including drinks. While this isn't the best Italian I had in Sydney you will need to go to Haberfield for that, this place is still worth the visit if you're in the area. Only criticism is that service was abit all over the place despite the staff being pleasant.
I'll admit I read some average reviews of this restaurant before being talked into going by someone who has been there many times and I'm sooo glad we ended up going because the food was amazing. I will say that the service was a little..haphazard. Not bad, but nothing to rave about either if that makes sense. And again just remember you're paying for the location too because it's not cheap but still worth it for a night out in The Rocks.
