The food was nice and fresh. The service good and attentive. It is difficult to speak of an atmosphere, as the setting is semi-take away joint, so there is very little atmosphere of any sort.Food: 4/5
Someone else please by this store… I come here frequently as it’s the only zambrero’s close to me. Every time I’m disappointed, food/ cleanliness getting worse each time I go. Food wait is always ridiculous, It’s understandable if the store is getting pumped but they are in plain, understaffed, undertrained and have no motivation to get anything done. What’s more important than customer service? I’m never greeted and always waiting a solid 10 minuets before any staff acknowledge my presence. There were three staff on tonight. One person serving…. Slowly. And the other two pretending to be busy chatting away. Extremely unfortunate.
I would give this a 0 if I could. Firstly, the chicken in my burrito was undercooked. It was bright pink and cold, in not only mine but my friends as well. I think is unacceptable and a health hazard. When we went to go show the staff the pink chicken the worker who I showed this to was rude. Just plain rude. He gave us a dirty look and said they was nothing they could do about it and expected us to leave. Eventually he offered to make us a new one with an annoyed look at his face. While he was making them, he looked annoyed and acted like it was our fault. I didn’t want to be rude and I tried to nicely tell that what we got wasn’t alright. As a customer I felt uncomfortable and we can agree that no one wants to feel like that as a customer. When he was making the burrito he would ask us what we wanted in it but very rudely and we felt not welcomed. He apologised to the people behind us for the wait as if it were our fault. In the end no one apologised.
Reading everyone else’s comments and their reviews, makes me somewhat relieved as I am not the only one who had worst experience at this store. The store managers email response to my complaint was an absolute cringe. Dietary restrictions: If you’re vegan, celiac or vegetarian, good luck getting your order in a professional manner!
Went there on the 18th of October and had a very underwhelming burrito. Filled ok with meat and rice - but about a teaspoonn of beans plopped on, a small dollop of sour cream a teaspoon of salsa's. Usually Zambreros burritos are bursting at the seams but this looked like it was half empty and was not that enjoyable to eat. Perhaps the young lady who served us should fill them up a bit more. - reply to owner - Had lunch there around 1145am.
I wish this zamberos would pull their heads in. They’re always understaffed so it takes too long to even be served. Coming in, the queue for food is so long, and when ordering the food they always tell you that key ingredients are missing. Last time they ran out of rice, this time there wasn’t any guacamole. They need to hire more staff so the experience is better, this is hands down the worst zamberos I’ve been to.
Long, long wait at dinner. 2 young staff members were doing their best to manage both the in store customers and the online orders, both of which were coming thick and fast. The former resulting with a line leading out the door. It was disappointing then, when a woman entered dressed in casual attire and proceeded to disappear into the back of the store. One would assume she was quite possibly the owner. Apart from briefly appearing to check levels on stock being utilised by the aforementioned workers, she failed to acknowledge the customers in store growing increasingly frustrated and offered no help to the 2 young workers. Would've been 1 star if it weren't for the 2 young workers mentioned who were doing their best given the situation. Our food, once received, was great.
Today, as I was working from home and couldn't get out of the house, I arranged a lunch delivery for my wife and myself. Delivery from Zambrero's Kingsway normally takes 20-30 minutes to my home because we are fairly close. Today at the 1 hour and 10 minute mark keeping in mind that the delivery app said that the poor delivery person had also been waiting at the store for 30 minutes by then as well, I called the store to see what was happening to my order. The manager picked up and when I asked what was going on she proceeded to explain that she had been in a meeting and wasn't able to supervise the staff and had just now noticed how backed up they were. She then apologised which was good and as an olive branch offered to add a free drink and a brownie to my order as compensation. I admit whilst this wasn't my motivation for the call I just wanted to know if I was going to get my meal before 2pm, this went a long way to making me feel better about today's poor service. But, if you haven't guessed already, this was just smoke and mirrors. Nothing extra turned up with the order which took about an hour and a half to arrive after receipt of my order. Furthermore, today's food was also of pretty poor quality. It was just a jumbled mess of lukewarm food that had zero love or attention to how it was served. Pick up your game Zambrero's Kingsway
Wait to be served is too long. I’m not coming back. Put more staff on. Every time I’ve been here during a lunch or dinner rush there are two very young stressed looking workers doing their best and failing to keep up with customer’s time expectations. I’m done.
I ordered vegetarian barrito… and they fill up like they give me free of cost… they made smallest barrito in the world. 2 drop of sauce as well… never recommended there.
