They have very friendly staff there. Also make good coffee they also have very good selection of pies if you are meat eater. But there section of vegetarians pies is not so good. They used to have a lot. But they cut back on them . If you could add more of a section it would be great. Also have good selection of cakes and sandwiches. I gave this place 5 stars awhile a go when they used to have friendly helpful staff with great customer service, now if I could I would give them 0 stars, they ask us to put mask on and half their staff don’t put their ones on. They used to be really good at making coffee with fast turnaround now it takes to long. I have stop going here now. I don’t know what happened if it’s been run by new people. But in the last two months this place has gone downhill.
Nice to see an eclectic charger. Would be great to see one in each petrol station, I went inside and brought drinks and food while my car was charging.
Been here several times and each time ZPSS has been consistently excellent, providing prompt, efficient service courteously. If you need a hand with topping up gas, oil, etc. staff will cheerfully volunteer to help you out, accompanied by oodles of goodwill. Similar to other Z stations, they offer a 0.10c discount per litre on at least one day each week 0.06c otherwise, to members and other perks, similar to other "club" loyalty schemes so you can accumulate / cash-in and optimise your fuel savings each month. ZPSS is conveniently located opposite the Petone Railway Station, close to many major businesses such as Bunnings, Briscoes, etc. It is the last gas station between Petone and Thorndon so you may wish to fill up here if your tank is low, before taking off on SH2.
Went to put $30 in as i had a voucher for that amount only. Was filling it fine until i was offered help in finishing it off went inside to wait. I then was charged $65 dollars for filling my tank without my consent. Even though i clearly pressed $30 at the start. 0 help from staff and left digging into my bill money to pay for Z's mistake
My usual stop in the morning on the way to work. Staff have the usual greeting a bit of friendly banter. Pies are always fresh and don't sit around too long. Nice and clean fast efficient service. Can't complain.
If you drive a motorhome don't use the diesel pumps at the back of the station unless you have dedicated fuel card - they don't work for ordinary customers.
Came to refuel my bike, took the refueling pistol off the stand and waited for the staff to turn it on. Waited five minutes, *nothing* happened. Walked inside to ask what's going on and I was told I cannot sit on the bike and refuel it - it is not allowed. Dear Z, sitting on a bike gives me better control and grip while refueling it and the bike is not leaning to the side so the chance of spilling some petrol out is lower. Until you keep enforcing stupid rules like this one, you will not see me refueling at any of your stations again.
Come here all the time. I find the staff pretty hit and miss. I don't think the forecourt attendant has ever offered me a hand with anything. I wouldn't recommend the coffee here but the basics they provide are fine and have all the standard specials.
Car runs really rough on Z fuel lately. I got caught and NEEDED to put some in so put $40 of 91 in the tank, car was down on power and missing quite badly. Did this the whole way to Mobil about 20-24 Kms up the line, filled the tank the last $100 and it ran beautifully from there home. Would advise that people use somewhere else until they sort it out.
The person on shift told me that they hold hot food for 8 hours in their pie warmers... As a chef, I know it's two hours... The person working argued with me for ten minutes saying that in their manual, it was 8 hours... I told him I would never eat from them again..!!! Wait till i post it on social media... Haha
