Worst wonton noodles ever Noodles: they used chowmein noodles instead of egg noodles. Dry and Tastes terrible Soup: tasteless, brown, lacking in salt/flavour Wonton: filled with straight boiled prawns Siomai Pretty good, a tad sticky service isn’t great
Food here is revolting, It’s unacceptable .Tasteless fried rice with canned ham and frozen mini prawns. Chicken feet is cold in the inside, tripe is hard and Most importantly nothing is worst than eating off a table full of black MOLD blooms! Just Disgusting! Waitress coughing while serving us without even covering her mouth. I hope a decent health inspector randomly walks in here and put them in place. Save your money and go elsewhere.
We dined here as a group of 4. The staff were quite lovely during the majority of our visit. The food in general was no better than if you microwaved frozen food or bought the same items from a fast food shop in the food court. Unfortunately, the prawns in 2 of the dishes we ordered were extremely rotten, to the point that the entire table smelt like rotting seafood when one of the prawn dumplings was opened. None of the prawn dumplings were consumed as they were clearly inedible. Two of us had already consumed one pork & prawn dumpling each however decided not to consume the rest of the prawn and pork dumplings due to concerns about the food safety of the prawns. Everyone at the table loves seafood & eat this type of food often however the smell was so foul that half of us were put off eating anything else as a result. We politely told the staff when we finished our meal and pointed out that we didn’t consume any of one prawn dish and were unable to finish the second. Rather than apologise or investigate the issue, the staff argued excessively with us, insisting that it is “not possible” for any of the food to be bad. This is an extremely concerning attitude to have when 4 customers are all telling you how concerned they are about the safety of serving certain items. After just a ridiculous amount of back and forth “discussion” which included two members of staff speaking in another language and laughing at us, the staff eventually agreed not to charge for the rotten food and we left. To absolutely no one’s surprise at all, the two of us who consumed a dumpling with prawns in it, later became violently ill with classic food poisoning symptoms which lasted until the next day, and the two who ate no prawns were fine. I would avoid this place at all costs as they clearly have absolutely no regard for food safety and care more about making an additional $8.80 than protecting the health and safety of their customers.
The tables have old, stained, sticky and mouldy table clothes others on them. The cutlery wasn’t very clean either. Food was good, service was average. Just the thought that if that’s how dirty the tables and cutlery are I can’t imagine the standards of the kitchen.
Visited during school term break, so quite busy. Although there’re just 3 waiters, they’re still attentive to customers. The food was served hot and fast. The BBQ pork bun and Shanghai style steamed pork buns were quite bland. Siu Mai, fried pork dumplings and spring rolls were ok. The sauce of the satay chicken was good but the chicken was dry as the chef deep fried it. The deep fried bait, fried rice and vegetables were nice. The most disappointed one was the BBQ Roast Pork. It’s definitely reheated so the meat was very dry and the skin was not crunchy. The coconut pudding dessert was also very bland.
I went to Yum cha twice over the past 2 weeks. Have to say I am very impressed by the quality of the food. The steamed dumplings were great and I have probably tasted the best "Cheung Fun" Steamed rice broad noodles with Beef fillings in Gold Coast so far. The food was served hot and fairly quick. I ordered chrysanthemum plus Jasmine tea in a pot and it was very good. Service was delivered by friendly staff. I would recommend this place to anyone. You can look for the Red Car park at the back of the Promenade to save some walking time.
I just don’t understand why one of the female staffs I think she might be the manager can smile and be polite to white people, but her face is like very bitter and behave cold and rude when serving Asian customers. No thank you, no response, no care, Every time.
Authentic yum cha and highly recommended! The food is fresh and delicious. Thank you for providing such good food and great environment.
Amazing food and it all came out very quickly. They have cool little robots that bring out your food too. Thanks guys
The food was very tasty and prompt and the staff were friendly and attentive.
