The Yowie Park at Kilkoy is a breath of fresh air. It is located at the centre of town and it is an awesome stop when in Kilkoy area. It has a toilet block with several unisex cubicles. Unfortunately, some doors don't lock so just check. Disabled toilets have sinks inside however the regular toilets have their shared sink outside. Toilets are well stocked and clean. Next be to the toilet block is a large covered wooden seating area with several tables and benches facing the refreshing lake. There is a fenced playground with swings, slides and climbing equipment. There is a water fountain near the playground and next to the covered seating areas. Bins are located everywhere in the park. There is the statue of the Yowie and a face cut out board for taking pictures. The lake is filled with ducks and birds, and the ground is pretty grassy. The park has generous parking area both for regular cars and caravans/motorhomes. Right next to the park is the Kilkoy swimming centre and right across it is a petrol station. Kilkoy is a very historic town and each establishment has a plaque honouring its history by remembering the way it was mad the way it looked like before. Awesome stop!
We stopped here on our travels to have our lunch. It's a great park with several tables and chairs that are undercover, a fantastic park for the kids to play in and a beautiful dam with various birds swimming in it. There are also public toilets available.
Really nice place to relax, with plenty of benches and tables for eating and drinking. There are plenty of toilets, a play ground, and water fountains for a drink and to refill your water bottle.
Drive through Kilcoy and stop for Saturday's fun run at 7am. A great way to start your day for all ages and abilities. A beautiful nature walk around 2 gorgeous lagoons. Walk run or take you dog and meet lots of joyous people.
Beautiful park with lake with no fence, huge trees, birds and other animals. Across to bakery, free parking and public toilet available. Support local business by purchase plants, souveniers and drink hot coffee in the park
Nice park. It's popular with locals and travellers. Coffee cart sometimes there. Bakery opposite. Local art gallery and small craft store. Large pond with water birds clean. Wonder why Somerst council does not do similar in Esk ....
..coffee van in the park was nice...$4.50 for a small long black...pies and great sausage rolls are just across the street...at the bakery....public toilets are clean...well located in the park....great for a travel break...between Toowoomba and the sunshine coast...
Decent sized greater park area with 2 lagoons. Nice place for a walk or to run the dog. Toilets in park. Also the home of the Kilcoy Yowie parkrun
It's a great place to come for the day or stop at on your way to other destinations. There are plenty of loos and are always of a high standard regarding cleanliness. They even supply soap and paper towels. There is a modern fenced playground, lots of covered seating and bbq's. All next to a small lake which is home to ducks, ibis and other birds. Across the road is a bakery and a BP which has hot food. Always clean and free of rubbish. Enjoy
Friendly, serene and relaxing spot. Toilet block, childrens fenced playground, pool near by. Craft cottage, Hall of history, Art gallery, Information centre, beautiful lake and pet friendly. Kilcoy Art Gallery is about to start their extension of a new deck attached to the eastern side of the gallery overlooking the lake. It will be a huge asset for the gallery, community and being available for hire.
