Yeppoon State High School strives to be a centre of educational excellence and central to this belief is the challenge we set ourselves to provide an innovative and inspiring curriculum.

Teaching and learning is at the core of all we do and high quality learning experiences are purposefully designed to develop the attributes of life-long learners.

Whilst emphasis is placed on academic outcomes, we believe that the development of a holistic education through the teaching of values and ethics instils in our graduates a sense of decency and respect for others.

This school is the definition of inhuman, for half the year they had closed all the toilets except one during the 70 minute lessons for all students to go to ESPECIALLY the female toilets. So if the girls had any bodily problems they had to get a signed note of the time and most of the time the toilet already had a line up. At the end of the school day they didn’t even open the toilets for the students to use before they had to get on their early bus and you couldn’t go to the toilet 5 minutes before the day ended, this all changed in term 3 when someone had most likely complained to the school.
I attended YSHS from grade 7 - 12. Most of the teachers were great. Dwyer was the best English teacher I ever had. Mr Manning was so sweet. Mrs Mullany and Miss Stewart were the kindest souls. Willis, Yukimatsu,,, not Murphy. And many others. But one I will never forget, is Miss Pozetti. She was so good at singling out students and making them feel isolated, including me. In fact, she’s the reason my girlfriend and I weren’t in our graduation photos. We in fact left early, as she made it VERY clear we weren’t welcome. Alternative queer kids have always, and will always exist. You will not erase us. Everyday I wish I had the guts to stand up to you. We were young and you obviously had some kind of superiority complex against actual minors. I regret it <3
The g block toilets are disgusting the doors are cute but the doors don’t lock the toilet seats are broken mr mills smells awful T block also smells horrible DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE THEY WILL GET BULLIED AND GET DEPRESSION
i came here after moving from Melbourne and i was only here for 8 months the teachers were horrible and super mean to me and they treated me like i was a special needs kid even tho i barely said anything or did anything wrong, the reason i left was because i had a mental breakdown after realizing no one cared, no one wanted to hear about me, no one wants to know about you mostly everyone is selfish and that's what high school is unfortunately i wouldn't go here ever again.
this school will turn you into a smooth brainer. also it turned me dyslexic. 10/10 school don’t go here unless you have a death wish.

through the years ive spent here, ive felt nothing but a growing emptyness, its harmful to my mentalstate. idk how to cope with lots oif problems now and the hellscape of this place is torturous
If I could rate 0 stars I would I do not recommend this school
I had a firework blown up next to me in b block Very scary
I came in with a regular IQ and left with a negative iq also the boys toilets have no doors
