The Yarraville Swim Centre is a 25m Heated Indoor Swimming Pool in a Converted Factory.

Y.S.C. is a member of the Royal Life Saving Society and uses the nationally recognised Swim and Survive program.

Story

Yarraville Swim Centre is a family oriented pool and swim school. We cater for everyone with classes for all levels of learners from babies to adults.
We also have competitive swimming squads, an open water/ distance swimming squad, surfing and marine biology classes.
We are home to Yarraville Swimming Club which meets every Sunday 5PM for races and fun.

We have been members for close to a year now and in that time we have tried another swim school which was well recommended and known. However, we returned to YSC. What YSC lacks in 'flash' facilities it more than makes up for in quality teaching, friendly owners and staff and a 'family-feel'. Pools with 'better' facilities do not even come close to YSC when it comes to classes. Our daughter loves going to classes and the free access to the pool outside of peak-times plus the flexibility to get or stay in before/after class is great and a real bonus especially when you consider the extremely reasonable price per-lesson. I can't recommend YSC enough.

My 6yo son has been attending swimming lessons at various different swimming schools since he was 6 months old. I didn't realise he didn't know how to swim until he followed some friends and jumped into a pool one day and instead of swimming back to the ledge he started treading water, so although he had some skills to stop himself from drowning, he panicked and didn't know what to do in this unfamiliar environment. That was 14 months ago. Since starting at YSC my son can not only swim back safely to the ledge but also multiple laps in their 25m pool.. in all four strokes! My 3yo daughter has also improved immensely. At the start of this year she was too scared to enter the pool on her own, she is now floating independently on her back and can swim a few metres underwater and without any aids. Cannot recommend YSC highly enough. The instructors really make it their mission to teach your kids how to swim.
