Beautiful Beach , I visited with my friends in weekdays to witness this beautiful sunset , you can also see in my videos attached. Beautiful place even to visit with your family, friends & children. Enough space for Parking. Shower and drinking water taps available on site. Disabled parking also available. But I guess no disabled entrance to the beach. I'm not sure about disabled entrance but the place from where we entered was stairs and no entrance for disabled was there. Parking on both sides of roads. Benches to sit and to enjoy sunny day. No rescue available. Please see pictures for safety precautions. Indeed it was a memorable day Enjoy and please appreciate my efforts if you find my review helpful. Thank you
I love this place so much. Many childhood memories down at the beach. There is nowhere like this in Perth.best time is to go before the seabreeze comes in, and if you want to make the most of snorkeling, you just have to go on an Easterly or better yet, a North Easterly wind. Local council deserves a big pay on the back for how they have managed growth in the area, with good car parking and facilities surf club, on the beach itself.
Prefect natural lagoon best for snorkeling and novice swimmer who want to experience ocean water experience. Safe and bounty space to fill hundreds. Plenty parking and wonderful cafe and park area.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Yanchep Lagoon is a beautiful beach for the whole family to enjoy. Its sheltered from large waves by the rocky outcrop that spans the whole beach. Be aware that as the waves come over the rocks, there is only one place for the water to go so there is a good northward flow that may be a little stong for poor swimmers on an incoming tide. There are toilet and change facilities across the road at a small park and ample parking. Also great spot to sit with some fish and chips and watch the sunset.
The beauty of Perth is every beach is so beautiful with different characters…. Yanchep Lagoon was one of the beaches we stayed to watch the sun set….so nice….and a place to recharge….
After read all the reviews. I decided to go there. The views is very good from the sky but when I went in for snorkeling wasn’t great. There alot of seaweeds and the water is dirty it’s let me down a bit:
Yanchep Lagoon is a beautiful beach surrounded by a rocky outercrop and is a great spot to watch the sunset over the ocean. The water is clear which is perfect for snorkeling. However, although the beach has an active life guard tower with a supervised flag area, the current is strong with dumping waves, submerged rocks and doesn't have a shark net. Don't let kids swim unsupervised. The wind can also be very strong, sending sand particles flying towards you. Very close to the beach are public toilets and changing facilities by the Yanchep S.L.S.C building. However, when I went, these were not very clean and had a foul odour. On the main road, there is free parking as well as a cafe. Dogs, vehicles, fishing and camping are not allowed.
Stunning views, images from winter in July/Aug too! Much better beachwide views than Perth, and close enough away for a beautiful weekend trip. Stunning, coastal WA at it's finest!
Great place for a snorkelling session, however there is often a strong current making life difficult to stay in one spot. Dont let kids swim unsupervised.
One of the best beaches with great variety of conditions to suit any type of person or family. Calm waters in the "Granny's Pool", do exercise in the lagoon, or body surf in the waves.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
