Very creative little joint with middle eastern food. The proportions could be a bit bigger and I expected a bit more flavour in the delicious looking meals. Otherwise I really enjoyed the food.
We are on our honeymoon in Byron and were recommended this place by a Byron local. One word - Delicious!! We ordered the chicken plate and hummus falafel plate, with a table serving of zaatar chips, followed by a green tea with baklava and brownie. Service was great, quick, efficient. Would definitely recommend this place!
Delicious Israeli food and very good customer service. Everything we tried was great , highly recommended.
I am a bit wary of posting this review as this place seems to be much loved by the laid back mullumbites. The menu seemed limited with similar choice either in a wrap, pocket or on a plate. I went for vegetarian sabich in a pocket which has hard boiled egg, eggplant, pickles, babaganoush, tahini and some Israeli salad. I had asked for some chilli sauce on the side but that got lost in translation. So it all seemed healthy, middle eastern but bland; maybe I am a phillistine. The ginger beer however was sensational, great taste and zero sugar. Lots of dips, flat breads and doodads in the fridge to takeaway. Service was good but it did take 15 minutes to eventuate.
Absolutely delicious food and coffee. The best Shakshouka I have ever tried.. If I visit again definitely coming back to this restaurant. The staff are nice and friendly.
This is my families second visit to Yaman. Our first was on trip up from Adelaide to visit family living in the Northern Rivers back in July 2022, we absolutely loved the food at that visit. Packed with flavours you can tell it is cooked by people who are passionate about food. Definitely rated it above anything else we had while we were here eating out many of those meals costing way more. On return trip this time it was my number one destination on day one, for lunch and it certainly didn’t disappoint. 5 star everyday of the week from our family. Thank you McKinnon Family Adelaide
Authentic, yummy, and fair value. Really enjoyed the vibe and food. I could only wish there were a few more vegan options across the board, but there’s still plenty of vegan options to choose from! Highly recommend the Malafel RollRecommended dishesMalafel Roll
We love this place, it's a little middle-eastern gem! The malawach is so rich, the eggplants so tasty and the tahina sauce is just perfect. The portions are generous - I always wished I left a piece for later but a bite leads to another... The staff is kind and quick, thanks Rosa for welcome us
Who knew there would be such great Middle Eastern food in the middle of Mullumbimby. This is really a great restaurant. My partner and I had the malawach roll and the sabich roll, which also came in malawach bread. Both of these dishes were really good. Malawach is like a pancake formed by layers of puff pastry, and is incredibly yum. Could not recommend this restaurant more!
Literally feels like the heart & soul of Mullumbimby. People have big smiles who eat and work here. Delicious. Feels cleansing. Much love. Stop the Saudi genocide in Yemen !
