I would recommend Y Suites if you don't mind staying further from the University. It is around an 8-minute walk to the tram stop, and the tram ride will be approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on which tram stop you go to Art Gallery/University/Botanic Gardens. I would say that the rates for the rooms are attractive, I am staying in a studio and the rates are below $400/week, which is cheaper than the other student accommodations I stayed at, and the rates for shared apartments were higher than what Y Suites was offering for a Studio apartment. There are also shared apartments in this building at an even lower rate! The gym facilities can be improved on as there's not much in there, but this doesn't really affect me as I have an external gym membership worth noting for those who don't.

The location is great. There are many kinds of events, so it's easy to make friends. Most of the events are also free. Each room has a functional air conditioner, and you can also get fresh air from outside. I'm living here comfortably.

Y Suites City Gardens is such a great place to live. They have wonderful views from their rooms and great amenities such as a large multipurpose kitchen and laundry. Rent is affordable for Adelaide.

Ysuites is generally nice and comfortable student accommodation with nice window views and monthly events throughout the year. The room is smaller than I expected, but still manageable.

comfortable to live in, very safe and organises good events for students! But their gym is practically non-functional, with just a few treadmills, dumbbells and stationary bikes. Everybody needs at least a pull up bar? And the garbage chute is mostly out of use. pretty good property otherwise!
