Mixed emotions, the manager Jackie is lovely however, false advertisement there is no restaurant or bar, the wifi does not reach to half the rooms and no signal on your phone.nThe communal BBQ does not work, the pool is not clean theres dead bugs and algae and the drains smell like something rotten every time you shower. I paid nearly $900 for 4 nights, if you’re planning to stay here make sure you have a car and eat out every night for dinner as we spent money on food we could not cook.nAlso the windows for the room do not lock so anyone can open the window and open the door from the inside with no problems or noise, this is a big security problem.nWe were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience due to the false advertisement and ended up having to spend a lot more than planned, the room looks nice and the bed is comfortable however the pillows are very inbetween, not sure how I feel about this place to be honest
The room was comfortable and accommodating, the surrounds are ran down, pool was absolutely disgusting leaving me with sores after 1 swim wouldn't recommend. As for management and onsite caretaker/manager, very rude, opinionated and arrogant and made the experience not very pleasant. I do not recommend too anyone. There is better 5mins down the road where you are treated like a guest not a peasant.
The outside and the age of the building doesn't do the rooms justice. Externally looks a little run down, but the rooms themselves are comfortable and modern. The shower is probably one of the best I've found in a motel of the same price range with plenty of space and high water pressure. Staff are very friendly and would recommend as a place to stay if in Gympie.
As a national business development manager that stays in more motels than my own bed I have to stay that the service was super friendly and warm welcoming. Rooms were very clean and very well presented And for now on each time I come to gympie I will be staying here. Work related or not.
