Had so much fun during our weekend breakfast. I had an amazing experience at XS Espresso in Croydon Park! I ordered the Belgium Chocolate Pancake and the Big Breakfast, and both tasted absolutely divine. The pancake was rich and full, while the breakfast was cooked just right. Shoutout to Rose, who prepared my meal - she's the best! The food was not only delicious but also looked nice. Overall, it was a highly recommended place for anyone who loved great food and great atmosphere. I will surely be coming back!
I went today to try out this new restaurant at home area. It was quite packed for saturday lunch crowd. We ordered at the counter and there was no sign that paying by credit card would attract a surcharge. It was much later on at home reading reviews left by other patron and was surprised to check and discover for myself that there was a surcharge of 1.5% added to the bill.nnThis I find it disappointing for a cafe chain of XS Espresso size to still sneak in a surcharge when there was no prominent sign at counter to inform customers which they should, unless I missed it somehow.nnThe place was very busy today and we sat indoor and it was hot. With all the crowd, it was very noisy and the sound vibrated off the wall with it not being a very big space. Anyway the energy of the place was great. Food came and presentation was beautiful. We had the flat white and cappucino, also chicken & waffle, also chicken schnitzel. Chicken & waffle presentation was beautiful and the chicken schnitel was so so. I like it presentation was in the detail and thoughts were even given to deco up their lemon slice.nnThe chips tasted great. Some waiters and waitresses were friendly, though one or two went around espressionless.nnAnyway this is my first try. Is good that we have it opened up at home turf. Will give it another try next time. Next visit I will remind myself not to pay by credit card if I want to save from the surcharge
I recently visited XS Espresso in Croydon Park, and it was an amazing experience! The space is spacious and perfect for events like birthdays with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Right now, they’re running a special Doritos range of meals for September, so you should definitely check it out before it ends!nnI also had the Salted Cookie Dough, which was absolutely delightful – crunchy, creamy, and perfectly sweet. It came with ice cream and strawberries, and I added Biscoff sauce for an extra kick because I love Biscoff! If you have a sweet tooth, this is a must-try dessert.nnFor drinks, I had the Bueno drink, which was a light and delicious chocolate milk with cream. If you prefer your drinks on the lighter side like I do, you’ll love it. Highly recommend XS Espresso for anyone looking for a great meal, dessert, or drink!
We came for brunch on a Saturday, didn't have to wait for a table however the cafe was full. The menu is extensive, order and pay at the front counter. We had the beef sausage & egg roll, good value for money & tasted great. We also had the protein bowl with chicken skewers, fairly average, tasted slightly bland, was a great serving size. My son had the XS stack with bacon, he rated that as 3.5/5, not great but not bad. We also ordered an iced matcha however they couldn't make it so asked us to pick something else, we went with the iced taro, that was nice. Hubby had the biscoff thick shake: taste was great however it was definitely not a thick shake as such. Coffee was good, I give it 4/5. Finally we had an acai bowl with caramel sauce, taste was great but the açaí melts quite quickly. Staff were pleasant, great atmosphere.
The waiters were ok, people behind the counter were lacking facial expressions no one smiles and the lack of enthusiasm is poor. The employees don’t understand how to listenwe ask for the chorus after dinner and they brought it right awayI definitely recommend to eat the chicken & waffle it’s the only good thing, although they under cooked the chicken and I only realised that is was raw when I had one bite. Love the fresh orange juice. One star
