It’s a Saturday night and when we first got here 4:30 they had three people working, one of them being able to serve alcohol all the others are under 18 but she had to keep hopping between customer service and bar service, resulting in long wait times for one drink, she went home an hour ago.nIt’s now 5:53pm and up until 10 mins ago they had two people working.nIt’s a mess inside, bar counter is sticky, toilets are gross. I don’t blame the kids working, it’s the managers fault for not rostering enough people.nXplosions do better by your staff and your community.nWe won’t be returning
Great place to take the kids, but be aware. If you are swapping tickets for prizes, DO NOT get a prize you have to wait to be sent. Ordered a prize and was told it would take around 3 to 4 weeks to receive it. It has now been over 4 MONTHS and still have not received it. They had a backorder shipment in around a month ago and was told it wasn't amount them. SO ARE THEY TELLING US that everyone is waiting 4 months for their prize? I don't think so.
Have just left this venue with my child and while we had fun, it was disappointing to see a woman abusing staff, especially the younger staff members. My child shouldn’t have had to see or hear that kind of behaviour, and to be quite frank, neither should I. The girl at the counter handled the situation well, but it’s incredibly disappointing that this is what some people consider to be acceptable. I hope on our next visit we don’t encounter the same behaviour. Well done to the staff of xplosion bar & bowl!
Prior to writing this, i read a few previous reviews, and they are quite accurate.nThe place is understaffed badly, it's dank, it's unclean, service was next to non existent, the pool tables are in disgraceful disrepair, and the kicker for me was the bowling pins being held up by wires. 1920's stylenAlso, not one of the pinball machines were turned on.nFairly clear to me that the owner/s don't give 2 stuffs about the place, and i'd bet they only show up when it's time to empty the till.nI won't be in a hurry to go back.
Staff were fantastic. The venue itself was very dirty. Lanes are not oiled or maintained for anyone looking to actually bowl. It's plastic house balls with no revs or you'll get gutters everytime. Pins are on strings which added an extra layer of fun when pins fall down not because they were hit but got tangled. Kids had a great time.
