Affordable Chinese breakfastnMy go to dish would definitely be the sweet soy milk + youtiao and their wonton soup nnTheir young staff definitely needed a bit more training, shouldn’t be spraying and trying to awkwardly clean and wipe our table when all of our food have already arrived :/
Delicious and affordable Chinese breakfast place . Had a porridge , spring onion pancakes, fried dough stick, dumpling , a tea egg and 2 servings of soybean milk for only $20.nnThe fried dough sticks were crispy and the soybean milk is freshly made .make sure to say if you want sweet or salty, hot or cold , I prefer sweet and coldnnDefinitely will come back again
Pleasant set up, staff was helpful if only she can speak more English. Also, the menu doesn’t speak much, to a new customer unfamiliar with its origin. Almost every dish we ordered is a surprise, laced with chilli and pepper too.All the dishes tasted good, although towards the end, our tongues tend to get very numb from the peppery heat. The signature chicken dish was good. It came with some noodles and you can pay for more noodles. The dish also came with potatoes, almost like a chicken/potato stew with noodles. Little yellow fish dish flavour is ok but if you are not keen on fiddling with small bones, I won’t recommend it. Not many choices with drinks but the herbal tea in a can is good. $20/pax dinner for 4 is good variety.nRevisited, trying the lamb hot pot. Comes with 4 options of different side dishes eg potatoes, sea week, tofu, book Choy etc..all raw, to be added into the pot on a portable stove. Generous quantity of spicy soup and lamb meat on bones. Be prepared to use your fingers. Best eaten with plain rice.
Cheap and cheerful place to go for Chinese breakfast. What they lack in refinement is made up by authenticity and range.
This place is fantastic! My husband and I lived in China for many years, and this place is definitely authentic! It was so good to find a few of our favorites, like and they have many other dishes! Staff were friendly, the place is clean, service was fast, and the variety of dishes is pretty vast! We love it, and are coming back every time we’re back in Brisbane!
