WLPA are doing an amazing job. They accepted to host a stray cat with her 2 kittens 1 week old. The cat delivered in my front yard. I dropped off the cat and kittens to WLPA and they put her in a warm safe place in a room with bed food and water. I felt relieved. It was so kind of them noting they were at capacity. They will keep the mum and kittens together for 2 months then desex the mum and find homes for all 3 of them.
I adopted the two most wonderful kitties here four years ago and they are now part of our family. The volunteers are amazing and I can’t that them enough for finding us our little treasures.
Called today about 4 stray cats I have found the woman I spoke to was very rude and told me “if you can send me a photo of you holding and cuddling the one friendly cat then I can get someone out there to help that one but I can’t rehome stray cats” I’m sorry but is that not the purpose of a rescue to rehabilitate and help these animals so they can find a home and live a comfortable happy life?!?!nI am so disappointed in this attitude and it really makes me concerned for the animals that are there if they are too difficult do they just get rid of them? This was a very upsetting interaction I would NEVER recommend this place and I do not understand why or how someone with so little compassion is working there.
Anna the main lady on the phone was absolutely insulting, judgemental and downright rude. She has no idea the circumstance of my need to surrender my pets which is an emotional decision enough for me. She lost it at me right off the bad and questioned me why I had x amount of Guinea pigs if I couldn’t look after them and kept questioning my intentions of my pets and making me explain in a rude abrupt manner. She questioned why I don’t want them when I explained I’m moving where I can no longer keep them and am in desperate need to find a safe home for them she asked where I got them from and where I lived which was irrelevant and none of her business as a so called business owner. Then I got uncomfortable and asked if that info mattered and she said “well your moving anyway right so who cares! For some reason you don’t want me knowing”. Don’t take your pets here if you want to surrender them I do not trust this woman at all she is judgmental and rude and shouldn’t be talking to innocent people like that AT ALL.
I donated food and the volunteer offered to give me a tour of the premises. She was so lovely and accomodating. The cats are well looked after and shared the story of each one.
