Was good until it wasn’t. A change of stuff saw a change the “welcoming feeling” entering the gym. Some members think they own the machinery and congregate for an entire session or try to move your things and rudely brush by if you don’t move. Grow men that don’t understand personal space. This is the first World Gym I’ve been to I’ve had to pay a yearly “maintenance fee” and still have so many underlying issues. The giant fans on the roof and aircon vents are always full of dust, and they cut the top section off after months from people not premium members or class user. Bubbler had been cracked for months and overdue for service before it being attended to. Pool and ice bath area average, rock climbing wall isn’t special but a nice touch. Yes they have a wide range of machinery but for a cheaper price other local gyms are just as efficient.
Cannot rave enough about how great World Gym Bundaberg is. On my first day spent 3 hours there as so much to do and was in awe! Friendly, helpful staff, all the machines and weights you could want, ladies only room, yoga room/classes, pilates reformers room/classes, swimming pool, boxing ring, sauna and more!!! Have to add though dont be like me who was the class act on entering the Pilates reformers class a tad late then got onto the machine whilst all others were already 5 minutes into the class, then felt unwell annnd kind of wanted to Shazam the cool song playing at the same time, so got off the machine, tried to play it cool then got my towel and keys, promptly dropped my keys, felt all kinds of embarrassed as was trying not to interrupt the class anymore than I had so kicked the keys out the door and left. otherwise you definitely need to go and join World Gym!!! Wish it was in more places!!!
Awesome gym with heaps of equipment, but for the price it charges just for a casual gym membership is ridiculous! You’d think for the price they charge you’d get some complimentary coaching and classes included.nnThe equipment is good and it’s cool that it has a pool and sauna and a ladies only gym area, but not much different from what you’d find at other gyms, just more of it. They had lots of drink options and a little cafe, but as expected that was all really expensive too.nnCool to checkout as a day thing but no way would I pay for their monthly membership. I would recommend getting a membership at a cheaper gym, which has just as good equipment and facilities.

Starting with the price we are talking $22 per week, we are therefore in the category of premium gym.nWith this in mind I am expecting some services that, even though are offered, don't reflect the price.nLet's start with the pro: first of all equipment, brand new machinery, very smooth and lots in quantity, as well as a position for weightlifting crossfit and everything else, but there is, in my opinion, a little lack of free weight compensated by the quality of machinery; the climbing wall, it is not much but it's the only one in town and it is included; the staff are extra nice and deserve a mention and finally the posing room, very nice idea and well executed.nWhy the 2 stars then? It all comes down to the extra services provided that, even if present, don't reflect the price. I would give 5 stars if we were talking of half price and even half of the facilities.nnStarting from the weight room itself there isn't a proper stretching area, the only area is at the front and you have to share it with people using the red strip for farm walk, pushing etc, even though they have a nice little space at the back that it's instead used as a small gym in the gym.nContinuing we have the boxing gym with a beautiful ring, sadly it's taking 70% of the space and you can only use it during courses leaving very little space for you if you want to throw some punches alone. A shame given the dimension of the space where the gym is located.nBiggest flaw at the end comes down to the spa section: the cold bath can be used only by one person at the time, the pool it's pretty small and uninviting, the sauna and steam room are cramped together with the locker room next to each other, no hangers and not ideal for relaxing and most important, the reason why I am giving 2 stars and not 3 of 4 as initially though, the kids in the locker room. It happens that the pool that you are paying $22 p/w to use, to decompress, it is also used by a horde of little kids that do their lovely swimming lessons in there. Not only you will not be able to use it, but the whole space in front of the pool, where the cold bath is located, will be full of moms that, rightfully, keep an eye on the kids. The whole spa relaxing area became a jungle, with kids peeking into the sauna by by privacy kids peeking into the male locker room and the female locker room became a diaper changing area on the only bench available. Let's just not talk about the pool water afterwards, I do sincerely want to believe that the staff will sanitize the pool after they leave.nThis experience really makes me think why do I have to pay such a premium price if in the only time were I might be able to use the facilities it feels like being in a kindergarten with 0 privacy?nnOverall is a good gym if you will not use the spa, are into courses, since they offer a variety of courses and are willing to spend a premium price for just getting a glorified lifting room.
