I really appreciate this store for their excellent halal meat selection, which makes shopping so much easier and enjoyable for me. I was also really happy to see the beautiful Ramadan decorations this year. such a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the store. It’s great to see you are making an effort to celebrate and respect the community’s traditions. Overall, shopping there feels comfortable and thoughtful every time!
I wanted to give this feedback to the store directly rather than write a review - but sadly I am not able to get past the AI digital assistant both online and trying to phone the store. So Woolworths, because you make it impossible to give feedback privately - I’m forced to give it publicly.nnI asked a team member to speak to a manager after a person blocked the aisle with an entire pallet. Not a trolley, a pallet! As I was trying to navigate this - another team member threw an empty box and it hit me. No apology. Just a smirk.nnThe staff in this store have no regard for the customers. In fact, they don’t even acknowledge your existence. I have seen a significant decline in the health and safety of this store! Customers can barely navigate aisles and it is not safe or accessible. There have been numerous occasions where the aisles have been so unsafe or impossible to pass, I would have grave concerns for anyone with a disability as they would not be able to move around the store.nnShelves need restocking. But why bring large trolleys and pallets into aisles during peak hour shopping? It baffles me.nnThe personal shoppers who fulfill online orders are rude and inconsiderate of customers. I was completely cut off by a personal shopper who forced their way past me and almost ran their trolley into me.nnHead office need to get into this store and address the OHS risks, abysmal customer service and poor management.
Large Woolworths in Melbourne Square, Southbank. Great customer service. Parking is easy.
I’ve been living near the store ever since the store was opened I have to tell that I am personally and my family disappointed with the cleanliness of the store, the windows at the deli section, the elevator has not been cleaned at all I can tell.nThe produce section is limited especially green vegetables near the cashier’s desks, wilted vegetables most of the time.nIt is the biggest store, however the overall impression is poor sadly.
I did my grocery at Woolworths Melbourne square on 31/01/2026 at 2227hrs, went to an assisted check-out to pay, and encountered a rude male Aussie staff who refused to bag my items. He shoved everything next to the clean bag I brought and stood there looking like he can’t be bothered. I asked him if we are expected to bag our grocery shopping items at staff-assisted check-outs, and he did not even bother answering, he just stared at me like he was not having it instead. It was extremely rude. I don’t know if it was because I am Asian or he was just not very nice. It was very disappointing, upsetting and frustrating.
