Good evening, I sincerely hope the one in charge would get this. Anyway, at around 6.05 pm, Wednesday, 8 january today, i went here to buy some food. Mind you I am a tourist and it’s been awhile since I’ve bought stuff from woolsworth. So I went to the assisted check in counter to pay for my food and I asked nicely to the staff girl blonde hair in ponytail if they accepted Bigpay, in which she responded for me to be assisted by the senior staff an old lady short black hair and this is where the problem starts. I asked nicely if they accepted Bigpay since my friends did manage to use the card Bigpay to buy the food and the old lady immediately and RUDELY said “Nonono we don’t accept Bigpay, Wechat, no chinese stuff” and I was stunned. Because as far as I know, Bigpay is not Chinese and plus its international. Instead of helping me or even try to test it out if it’s able to use or not, the old lady just ignored me. Very rude and racist. Usually, sydney people are very nice and this is the first time I encountered someone so “highly” up their nose. Please fix this problem so other tourists won’t get caught up by this old lady.nnAnyway, cheers to this blonde haired girl at the assisted check in counter for actually hearing me out and tried to help me, although I wasn’t able to use the Bigpay QR I just used my normal bank card. She saved the day for a clueless tourist like me.nnPlease improve.nThank you.
completely disgusting off chicken, bought it today 18/9/2024, the best before stated on 24th but the chicken is already off, watery, smelly, hence put on special, if the manager or the staff knew someone accidentally put the chicken in the danger zone temperature for whole day and still selling it, i hope you get fired. could potentially kill someone.
When first opened this was a great Woolies except for the bakery, which somehow had the unique talent of being able to bake fresh bread rolls that came out like 3 day old ones.nWell the bakery no longer exists, nor does the butcher, fresh seafood counter or freshly made sushi bar. The Deli counter has also shrunk limiting its freshly sliced meats and cheeses along with all the other items that you like to buy fresh and by weight like olives or sundried tomatoes also downsizing personal customer service by only having one employee to serve everyone with customers or the poor overworked, underpaid employee having no idea of who’s next to be served as there’s no que or ticket system in place.nInstead you’ll find overpriced prepackaged foods in fridges or hot shelves to help yourself to.nThe store used to be large and spacious with plenty of room in the isles and large range of options to choose from in every category but now somehow, again this is a rare talent Woolies THAT IS NOT A COMPLIMENT, the store feels small cramped and there’s half the brands that you used to be able to buy oh and the new outlay is really ridiculous! For example ~ the first isle after the fruit and vege used to be all your dairy from cheese, butter, yogurt you would also find other cold items here like pasta, pasta sauce, garlic bread, hot dogs, fruit juice and the milk would be at the fridge along the back wall at the start.nNow, everything has been split up all over the shop, so you always end up missing items that you need.nNow, for my final and biggest gripe Woolies ARE YOU LISTENING ? the whole front of the store has replaced all but a couple of human run check outs with self service checkouts.nDo you not make enough money as it is? Young Aussies need jobs like this to learn valuable work and life skills as well as earn money.nThe elderly don’t like to use self service, I don’t like to use it and I know many people who don’t of many ages.nI know at the Mascot store that I have rarely seen anyone actually working at the checkouts and you have only one poor underpaid overworked employee run off their feet helping everyone having problems with your stupid self service software then you have to deal with it telling you repeatedly to remove your items from the checkout area after you have paid, just another FU from Woolies to annoy me for spending so much money that I have so many items in the bagging area that it’s taking time to get them back in my trolley but Woolies doesn’t care because they have just made another huge profit because I have paid them to do the job of someone they should be paying to do it.nOkay, so my review turned into a little bit of a vent of frustration about the state of the corporation but I am totally sure that I am not the only person in the world that feels this way.nSo if you actually have made it to the end of my review and do agree please give me a like or thank you or whatever you want to show you do and who knows maybe it will find its way back to someone in Woolies HQ that actually cares and has the ability to make positive changes.nThanks for reading
The store is conveniently located near Mascot station, just a 3-5 minute walk away. Here, you can find everything you need for your daily life, including a wide variety of food ingredients and grocery items. While it can be crowded in the evening, the store is well-stocked and offers a diverse selection of products to choose from.
Very clean and well managed. Has got all the options from in-store made Sushi to a place to tie up your dog outside. BWS next doors is. Usually is well staffed and generally does not run out of stock. Staff are all helpful and maintain the place well.
