Enjoyed shopping at this Woolworths in Glenelg on a recent holiday. Found what we needed quickly & enjoyed browsing the store. There were a few items which we tried that we are unable to get in our local Queensland stores. Loved the leaves left on the cauliflowers which is also a rare ocurrance in Qld! Very good fresh produce.
I'm a single mum working for door dash. As a second job to make ends meet. Today 8/3/26 @1:30 I was given 2 orders to pick up one from pasta gogo and the other from woolies Glenelg. I pick up my first order and head to the direct to boot parks, none available, so I do a loop and manage to snag one, waited about 15 minutes before anyone came and asked what my order was and the lady had clear view of my car as my car is an suv so she could see everyone in my car, my sister who helps pack the big orders in my boot And my 2 young children. As it's a Sunday. She tells me it will be another 5 minutes till my order would be ready, I say no problems and wait for her to bring my order back.nnShe comes back about 10 minutes later with my order, I scan the barcode and say thank you, as I'm polite always. She walks off and my sister and I start to pack the order in my boot. She then comes back with attitude and tells me she has to take the order back because I have people under 16 in my car. I said iv never heard of that and no other woolies have ever had an issue or stated anything like this. I explained my other order in the car, she was Very rude and refused to take in any understanding or even just let it slide as it was all pretty much packed in my boot. She just kept cutting me off and talking over me. I didn't catch her name. As I was flustterd over this whole situation. I rang door dash and they don't have such policies, I also went and picked up a new order from a different woolies and asked them if this was a thing and they said absolutely not. So I was very polite patient and was met with absolute disgusting customer service. Door dash tried to ring and they didn't answer.. Dasher and uber drivers with kids bewear of this woolies.
I got the many times uber delivery from click and collect and always have order not ready and waiting time more than 40 minutes if your order is not ready for delivery so why you have booked the uber driver ride. You don’t have a care about drivers time. Most worst woolly in adelaide and also staff want to get easy money
What are you doing Woolworths Glenelg! Less staff and too many self serve checkouts and not enough assisted checkoutsnOnly 2 checkouts open with long queues of people waiting blocking up areas for people to shop. If you want me to use the self serve making it cheaper or pay me to do it!!
Had a horrific experience at this Woolworths. I went to buy a Sim cart for my needs, but what I got instead was a dose of terrible customer service from a young female staff member. She was ABSOLUTELY RUDE and AGGRESSIVE, making the entire experience unbearable. To make matters worse, she had a strong body odor that was distracting and unpleasant. What's concerning is that she seemed to have no regard for customer satisfaction or basic human decency. If you're a manager reading this, please take a closer look at your staff and provide training on customer service and personal hygiene. This employee is a perfect example of how not to treat customers. Avoid this store until things change.
