I really like this Woolies. From the Deli staff to the checkout all Staff are friendly and respectful. Sure prices could be better, but overall very good.
Purchased today 15/01/25 - went home to cook straight from the shop and the smell of it was enough to make me dry reach It fell apart and the smell was so foul. Over $1.7 billion dollars in profit last year and you’re out here stocking off meat. “Fresh food people” … right
The customer service girls working service desk tonight 16/12/2024 at approximately 1730 were so helpful, professional and polite with an issue we had with some previously purchased chicken. The girls made the transaction easy and stress free. Thanks girlies!
My family and I will no longer be shopping at Woolworths Glenelg. The new layout is terrible, too congested, certainly when you have elderly with walkers and mobility scooters it exacerbates the problem and becomes a nightmare. My main gripe and the only reason for this review is the time it takes at checkout. Of the 4 checkout attendants at my last attendance....I avoided 1 due to previous experience and ended up with another just as bad. Whilst some experienced operators are fantastic and efficient, 2 of the 4 today simply cannot scan and simply cannot pack....therefore unsuitable for their job. I can't and shouldn't be expected to spend 10 minutes waiting in a queue behind 1 person and then another 15 to have my trolley load of items scanned and packed. Clearly this is also a symptom of management because at least 1 of the 2 on this attendance has been there for some time and both are not fit for the job at present. Being in customer service I'd also suggest somewhat of a personality should be a prerequisite. Seems to be an issue of modern times where we have to beat around the bush and tolerate mediocrity and less rather than move the unsuitable on. Goodbye Glenelg Woolworths. And just to clarify, iv'e had numerous frustrating checkouts like this at this store, not just once or twice.
From Shoping side, stock presentation, and customer service side could be okay. I know few good staff here always happy and full enthusiasm towards customers but management side they not good. I complaint many time about trolley traffic on walking way. Lots of senior citizens feel difficulty while walking with walkers and with electric scooters. Apparently its the public who leave trolleys on walking way but managers not allocating enough staff to remove trolleys.
