I’ve shopped at Woolies Balwyn for nearly 30 yrs & I hope the store manager reads this review!!! I did complain to management a few yrs ago but not much has changed!!! Terrible stocking of shelves compared to every other Woolies I’ve shopped in!! Doesn’t the store manager see how bad the lack of stock on shelves looks??! Very poor management! No specialty bread by Sunday lunchtime in bakery!!!’nTake a look at the presentation & stocking of shelves elsewhere , ie , Camberwell & Rye!!!nNeed to step up Woolies as I’m not the only customer who is complaining about the store- can’t wait for the new Coles down the road to open! You’ll need to lift your game substantially!!!
The shop is big and easily to access. It has free parking space. The staff are friendly and supportive. It has good discounts on weekends and I prefer to buy my groceries here. It has free fruit for kids every day. Everything is fresh and the prices are reasonable too…!
Worst store. Manager in fresh convenience is the rudest person you’ll ever meet. Seriously, this “guy” should be canned ASAP. All I hear is staff complain about him and for good reason. Never does work, always looks angry, poor customer service. Also most staff here in aisles barely speak a word of coherent english lmao - MAKE BALWYN WOOLIES AVERAGE AGAIN
I never seem to have a good experience when I come here. Today my deli items wouldn’t scan the lady tried entering the codes after I had waited a number of minutes for help. She then proceeded to try multiple times to enter the code when it clearly wasn’t working, I suggested she enter the fees to which she mustn’t have liked my helping. With the time it was taking I told her not to worry about it as I was watching her repeat the same thing over and over. It’s not like I didn’t want to purchase the items I just didn’t see her moving toward a solution. She then threw everything in the bin. I know that Woolworths obviously has money to burn because they rob all the little guys for a huge markup though their ignorance to waste along with poor service is so upsetting. It used to be a nice experience going to Woolworths’. Fresh food people, bin food people maybe.
As today’s society turns increasingly cashless Woolworths Balwyn has instituted a policy requiring a gold coin to use a trolley.
