It’s not as large as some other Woolies in the area but does have a decent amount of stock. Good options in the produce section, deli and meats. Trolleys don’t require a coin to use which is great considering not many people carry cash / coin these days. Negative points for no registers being open, only self-checkout. I had a loaded trolley and self-checkout is not ideal as there is not enough space for all the items to be bagged. Free parking for up to an hour and there is a Dan Murphy on site as well
Omg Woolworths I am so done with your ongoing greed. Went shopping last night at Alexandria, was just under 1 hour, maybe by the time I put the trolley back it may have been 1 hour. Got to the boom gate & they wanted $30 for parking. Yes that's right $30 for 1 hour parking. No signs as you enter re this new charge. Parking has always been free. Disgusting greedy so & so. How many people are you robbing? I am going to consumer watchdog. Disgraceful disgusting greedy ah's. Done
$30 parking fee for staying a bit over an hour is absolutely insane, especially because the boom gate on the way in is permanently up or at least it was when I went and there are no obvious markings of parking prices, no ticket issued nothing.nA few dollars I can understand but $30 for parking in a woolies carpark is borderline theft, someone is having a laugh about this
No bakery when I went there.nNo croissants, pastries, pain au chocolates. The girl in that area was in break n reluctantly came back after 10 mins. She said there was no power the day before. Then the manager came to me and said they couldn’t get the deliveries in . I mean tip ed about the power n he looked embarrassed. They don’t measure up. Everybody is diss interested and can’t get basic products there. Better not bother to go there at all.
There’s an older Asian lady with short hair who works at the self-serve checkout and consistently makes it extremely unpleasant for me and others I know to shop here.nnShe has repeatedly stopped me after I’ve already paid, asking if I’ve paid for everything, going back to the checkout to check, and even rummaging through my shopping bags. It’s happened multiple times, and I now avoid shopping here entirely — as do several people I know in the neighbourhood who’ve had similar experiences.nnWhat makes it worse is that she doesn’t speak English and becomes aggressive when approached, which makes the whole interaction even more uncomfortable and intimidating. Based on other Google reviews, it seems this behaviour has happened to many others too. Management really needs to investigate this issue.
