It's lovely to have a woodfired bakery near me, making it so much easier for me to satisfy my sweet and carb cravings. The thick and chunky chocolate chip cookie is a classic and you can never go wrong with this. Rich and buttery, and the same can be said for the coffee scroll. For something more fruity, then the zesty lemon meringue tart is a must try. Definitely will be back for more.
What does freshly woodfired sourdough choc chip cookies taste like? Heaven! What does freshly woodfired sourdough cinnamon scrolls taste like? Pillowy softness with a bit of crisp in the shell and folds of delightfully sticky cinnamon that is not overly sweet. Highly recommend this bakery cafe/restaurant.
Hands down the BEST sandwiches in the area. Fresh toasted bread, generous fillings, and a serving enough for 2 meals. Tried a few different ones and they never disappoint.
The best coffee, really well made. Also had the chicken sandwich and was great! Bought some cheese and honestly the Brie was pretty bad but the blue cheese was delicious, we definitely be back!!
DO: Any of the pizzas naturally. DON'T: Takeway if you didn't have to. The fitout and ambience and staff are lovely and you should eat in. However with a little one at home, I didn't want her to scream the restaurant down. TIP: Can pre order and save you the wait however it's only a few metres from home. Winning.
Absolutely delicious super fresh bread and fillings. We ordered a variety of sandwiches for takeaway - everything was made to order! They warmed the bread so it just added to the freshness. One of our sandwiches was vegan and our vegan taster said it was one of the best he’d had. They had extensive vegan sandwich options which was extra great as hard to find vegan options in the ‘burbs. We’ve already planned to return next week. Oh and did I mention how enormous the sandwiches are?! Go hungry!
Went here for the first time as I found out they are a Vegan Dairy stockist. They have 4 vegan sandwich options which are made with very large New York Deli style bread! They were both delicious! Shop stocks other grocery items including vegan bacon Crisps... Tasty!
The best sandwiches I've ever encountered, including vegan sandwiches you just wouldn't have thought could be that good. They may seem expensive, except they're HUGE, so $15 is actually lunch for two, and hence very reasonable. The sourdough sold here is also top notch, and amazing pizza, too! An absolute gem!
I am horrified about the way I was treated by a female staff member today when I went to order a take away coffee. I am medically exempt form wearing a mask so I entered the cafe without one. I went to order a coffee and the staff member was happy to take it and then another female staff member from the kitchen yelled out above normal speaking volume "if you're not wearing a mask you need to wait outside", I responded by reassuring her that I am medically exempt from wearing a mask, however, she proceeded to say that "I needed to wait outside", I asked why and she said "because of health and safety". I complied and went to wait out side but then I realised I had not paid so I went to pay inside and again this female staff member yelled "you cannot come inside you will need to pay outside", I ended up leaving I was so humiliated and embarrassed. I have never left a bad review anywhere before but I felt compelled to as I have never been treated so poorly in a cafe setting. I really hope that this staff member can reflect on how I was treated and hopefully learn from it so no other customers are treated in this manner again.
Didn't enjoy the food with some pretty plain meals all round. I had the seafood skillet and didn't finish the calamari as it wasn't great. my fellow diners reported similar disappointments. Nice atmosphere and decor. Service was struggling too, I never got to order desert, ended up going elsewhere for that. We didn't try the pizza maybe that is their signature dish. I see a lot of high star reviews.....maybe I just caught them on a bad night.
