Well worth the drive! The team at WUME Glen Iris are an absolute delight. After receiving appalling customer service from the Parkville clinic, we were so relieved to walk into the Glen Iris clinic and be greeted by such lovely people. Special shout out to Dr Kareem Haloub, we can't thank you enough for the wonderful experience, a kind, thorough and patient man who is exceptional at what he does. *EDIT We realised after we left that they didn't give us a printed photo which the receptionist mentioned when we first arrived that we'd get at the conclusion of the appointment. We're first time parents, of course we want a photo! I called the next day to mention we never received and they apologised and said they would pop in the mail. Two weeks later, I'm still waiting. I phoned again to check in and no one recalls posting. I then get another call saying the photos are no longer on their system and they can't print but I can always download and go to Officeworks myself and print - not impressed! All I have is a 3 second video of the baby's profile - I have asked for them to upload a still picture so I can go and print myself, let's see how long that takes to receive...
An interesting experience. This has been my first time here and was looking forward to meeting new lovely staff as I thought the more you pay an organisation, the more lovely and supportive the staff were. The first meet and greet from the receptionist was cold and stale, sort of felt as though I was in trouble in a principle's Office. She was not friendly and quite frankly rude. Asking me to seek assistance elsewhere when I was confused and had asked a question. In saying that, the remaining staff were professional and supportive. Have to take the good with the bad I guess.
I had my first ultrasound there during the lockdown, they didn't let my partner go inside the room with me and they Didn't let me record the heart beat either. Yes, they gave me the pictures of the heart beat , but Come on you can't hear that!. My partner was not able to wait in the waiting room they sent him out of the installation and the front desk lady was very rude while she said that he can't wait inside. We won't come back. And definitely we won't recommend it either. Better experience in others places for less money.
I have had the most wonderful experience with both of my pregnancy scans at Tooronga WUME. All of the staff and doctors were so helpful and friendly. Made me feel very welcome. My appointments have always been on time and so efficient making the whole process very seamless. I would highly recommend.
I have nothing but great things to say about WUMe. I only wish I knew about them sooner. The admin team were a pleasure to deal with. Dr Jacqui was kind, gentle, she took the time to listen to me, answered every one of my questions and talked me through everything she was doing and what we were seeing on the monitor. I was surprised to read the negative reviews on here. This clinic has a fantastic reputation within the Endometriosis community and the quality of the scans done here are like nothing I have ever experienced. 50+ ultrasounds over the last 20 years and Dr Jacqui was the first to ever see endo. Her report will be used by my surgeons to plan and prep for surgery. Specialist endo scans are expensive and only receive a small rebate, but it was worth every cent. This is not your run of the mill radiology clinic
I’ve been going to WUme for years now first for an ongoing monitoring and now for my pregnancy. I always see Dr Jacqui and I won’t go anywhere else. Shes knowledgeable, personable, reassuring and thorough. It worth every out of pocket cent.
All good but DO call prior to get specific instruction on what lift to getting how to get to it! As it is hidden away in a sprawling shopping centre building. Maps leads you to an empty courtyard. I was searching for 10 mins and only found it by calling and asking where I needed to go then someone exiting the clinic ground level guessed what I was searching for, and provided directions. Person conducting scan was very warm and professional. Really worked to put me at ease and explain process.
One of the receptionist was compassionate and caring, the other was extremely rude. The Dr. I believe it was Dr. Oldham, but not sure, in my view has no place working with women who are in emotionally vulnerable states. She was so rude, condescending, uncompassionate and uncaring, I was actually shocked by the way I was treated and talked to. It was a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend going here to anyone, and especially not those who have a history of complications and anxieties around pregnancy! It was made worse by the fact that it costs twice as much than other places due to the "privilege" of seeing this doctor.
We didn’t want our results to be shared with a non-medical third party database but this center forces you to receive your results through a third party provider for which you sign an agreement that says the provider has no responsibility for the security of your data, simply meaning that all your data will end up in advertisers databases. When I asked the staff if we have any other choice she simply said: “you can choose to receive nothing.” Apart from rudeness, this shows the level of commitment of this team to the customer experience. I hope the managers learn that it’s only fair if you actually give your customers/patients a real “choice” other than “suffer or shut up”. Update: the service we received from the expert obstetrician there was excellent and Jackie, the obstetrician, is both professional and aware of customer service. Therefore, I am going to reconsider my initial rating of 1 star and move up to 3 stars.
I’m sorry to read some of the negative reviews, my experience was positive, special thanks to Dr Charan for making the scan a pleasant experience although unavoidably awkward, I felt safe and heard. Finding the suite is a bit tricky but the person who answered the phone explained it well.
