Great service and nice stuff. The food made us feel a bit not so good later unfortunately. They have nice gluten free options.
We went here for my grandfather's 90th birthday. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was amazing! The garlic and chili prawns were sensational; the chili was not at all overpowering in the flavor, like it is at some places. The steak was cooked to perfection. It's safe to say we had a table of 7, and everyone was highly satisfied with their meals and the service. I would also like to make an honorable mention to the waiter "Michael", he is a credit to your venue with his remarkable and professional service. We will definitely be returning.
Went with a large group 15. Took a long time to be asked for a drink about 30 mins. Then it took about 15-20 to receive the bottle of sparkling water and a glass of room temperature white wine. On our table 3 people ordered fish of the day and had to send it back as it was overcooked. They then stated that it would take a while to cook a new batch this was the problem in the first place 2 changed their orders. The one who stayed true got his meal last. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy either, maybe 50 people including us. We had only 2-3 drink menu's, though we initially booked for 18. Had pretty much only 1 wait person taking our orders, and could not remember who ordered what. I had the Gnocchi, but a small serve for $30. I personally would not recommend this place. It is only slightly better than The Monk in Fremantle for food or service
we booked well in advance and were looking forward to the dining experience having heard so much about this restaurant, HOWEVER. we arrived to be greeted by this lady who seemed to be bothered about leaving her conversation with a staff member, she had no smile and was not greeting. She led us through the place to a seat at the back, no atmosphere, no music, horrible chairs, dirty carpet, a waiter who didn't care or know what was going on, we waited and waited to be waited on. The wine was nice, the frozen garlic prawns, were frozen garlic prawns. In a nutshell: Place and staff need a overhaul, they are both tired. Don't bother, 1 star is generous....
I have honestly never had a more disappointing dining experience. We were sat in the draft of the balcony yet they refused to move us, close the door or turn on the heaters. We requested a bowl of chips as an entree but it never arrived. My father asked for some bread to go with his main meal but again, it never arrived. The food that did come was not the quality you would expect from such an establishment. When the tables were cleared the waitress dropped cutlery in my lap but offered no apology. However, all of these things aside, the most concerning thing was that an item listed on the menu as gluten free turned up with garlic bread and crumbed potato balls. We asked if they were actually gluten free and we were told they were. Just as I was about to put the crumbed potato ball in my mouth another waiter comes over to explain they are not gluten free at all. If I had eaten this potato ball it could have had some devastating consequences. I am far from impressed and do not recommend this place to anyone, especially those with allergies.
Went here for the Subiaco Christmas switch on and wasn't disappointed. Sitting outside under the terrace was great to feel the vibes. Food was on point I had spatchcock but we also had the duck and scampi...all of which got great feedback. Service was also outstanding from the staff. Annual tradition here we come!
Very tasty food but very, very poor service for the price. Firstly we rang to confirm numbers and when we arrived table was set for incorrect seating. Set up of the table was not finished, only 1 wine glass on the table. We all arrived and had to wave down the waiters to get drinks - this occurred all night long. Drink also too such a long time to arrived. Soup arrived and no spoons and was luke warm. When advised staff of no spoons for soup staff were arrogant/rude. Main's arrived and extras arrived late and one meal forgotten. Then meal turned up and was not to order so had to be returned to kitchen. Booked this venue for birthday celebrations and knew it was more expensive and was aware of it reputation for being a good spot but very, very disappointed and would not recommend or return.
Lamb Cutlets, Salmon and Steaks are what we all ate. Cooked perfectly, flavours were great, friendly staff and we are from Melbourne so can be highly critical!!! This is definately 5 star food and service. Price is very reasonable too.
Really disappointed with my first time at this restaurant. When I made a booking at the Witch's Cauldron on the Friday night of "Shen Yun" playing at the Regal, I was asked over the phone if we were attending the show. I said yes, thinking I was being asked as the service may be quicker than usual so we could get to the show on time. In hindsight now I believe it was to purposely take the longest they could! There were only 3 of us under the booking and we made sure to get to the restaurant at 17:30 for the 19:00 show. Plenty of time you'd think. Our meals took 45 minutes to come out and even then the food was exceptionally average, considering it was not cheap. I had the scallops with mango salad and "pork cheeks". I think the soggy jerky pieces were the pork cheeks but I can't be sure. The mango "salad" was more a garnish and really unenjoyable. Definitely not worth the price and nothing to boast about. We had to rush through our dinner as we literally had 15 minutes to gulp it all down to make it to the show on time. The wait staff were very friendly and professional; I can't fault that. But service and food - I Will fault that. We will most likely not be returning customers.
Went for the famous garlic prawns and could not have been more disappointed....the prawns had a very strong and unpleasant taste of ammonia and despite desperately wanting to eat them I couldn't so they were sent back..... The waiter could not have been more helpful in getting me another meal steak, but we had travelled a long way for the garlic prawns and the fact that they gave us a free dessert did not nearly make up for the disappointment. Would have to take a lot of convincing to consider going back.....
