Wow !! What a great new find for us. Great to look at, great to be in. So different to anywhere else. The food is really interesting, and tastes as good as it looks. All of the staff were so friendly as we explored the gift shop and the nursery, and the Cafe itself. Today will be the first of many visits for us, and will be recommended to all looking for a different something, and with top quality. We'll done, Wintergarden.
Huge Heritage building. Used to be a Congregational Church among other things in its long life. Amazing space inside, with a Mezzanine upstairs, showcasing art works. There is a quaint little shop inside, selling vintage clothing and antique goods, along with gift cards and one off items. Out the back is a Nursery selling arts and crafts and amazing items for decorating home and garden, that I haven't seen anywhere else. The Cafe/ Restaurant inside the main area is spacious, and can seat large groups of people for Birthdays or Work Breakups or there's smaller intimate tables for two or more. The food is quite good, the coffee is excellent and the Staff are polite and helpful. Out the front, there is a little half circle driveway up to the door. Perfect for wheelchair access. Overall, a pleasant place to visit.
Had a lovely lunch with girlfriends The food was excellent value for money The cakes and coffee superb. The staff were really nice. The thing i liked most was the spread of tables you could not hear other peoples conversations and they did not overhear yours
We often go to the Wintergarden. Beautiful building, friendly staff, good coffee and we love the menu. I'm can be adventurous when it comes to food, but it is nice to have somewhere to go that offers high quality food that is "down to earth" and yummy. The club sandwhich's are amongst the best I have eaten any where in the world and you have got to love a club sandwhich. They are hard to find in cafe's in Australia Go and try it. It is a great place.
Food and coffee was excellent. But the music was too hard to handle. Left the ABBA soundtrack in the cafe and the nursery was amazing with very friendly staff, less intrusive music and great atmosphere.
Don't call frozen party pies, sausage rolls and spring rolls served on tiered cake stand "High tea". More like a tarted up canteen lunch. Especially with a price tag of $45. I felt like I was at a child's birthday party. I have taken photos and will be posting on Facebook and showing all my friends the quality of this luncheon. I was humiliated in front of my friends visitors to Geelong who I had promised a leisurely high tea. What a scam, roping in people with promises of a pleasant afternoon experience and delivering nothing.
We love it. They use organic Schultz milk. They make their own jams. That nursery out back is a welcome green space amongst the concrete jungle. We are big fans. Well done team
Absolutely blown away by the renovations on this place; a real retreat and a rare gem. Super friendly/helpful staff, great atmosphere and an impeccable nursery out back. Just, WOW!!!
Excellent hot coffee, beautiful building and surrounds. Quiet, intimate and peaceful. Loved the breakfast muffin with beef chipolata xx:
